Baby Products Reviews of Graco SnugRider Infant Car Seat Stroller FrameCustomer Review: Can't wait to use it! Summary: 5 Stars
I am 8 months pregnant and I just recently bought and put together (in less than 10 mins) my SnugRider. I've been eyeing and testing this item since I was 5 months along into my pregnancy. I bought it because a travel system would be too bulky for me to push around. I read in an article for baby product magazine that travel systems' strollers are built bigger to compensate for the car seat riding on it. I didn't want to push that extra weight plus it would be like pushing a bed-on-wheels. This item seem to be the most convenient and comfortable to use and I was right. I put the car seat (Graco Snugride in Emerson) on it and it latched properly. I pushed it around with 2 bags of sugar in it to add weight and I was satisfied how it handles smoothly. Folding it up is such a breeze too! Also, it stands on its own so there is no need to bend down to pick it up. I'm happy with this product and can not wait to use it with my daughter.
Customer Review: Would give it more stars if I could Summary: 5 Stars
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this stroller frame! We bought a Graco SnugRide carseat, and this is the perfect stroller for it. We didn't want a bulky travel system, and we didn't want to spend a ton of money on a stroller before knowing for certain what we would need. The basket is large enough to hold everything we've needed it for (we've put a lot of weight in it, and it hasn't torn), the stroller hasn't tipped yet, and it folds down relatively easily. I do wish it was a one-handed task, but I'm willing to sacrifice that. Generally, my son is in the car in his seat when I'm putting the stroller away, anyhow. Now that my son is moving on to a convertible seat, I will miss this! We've been using it for 6 months, and it still looks brand new. The handle is adjustable, so my father in law, who is 6 feet tall, can easily push this comfortably. It fits well into the trunk of my Honda Civic coupe, and is relatively light weight.
Customer Review: FABULOUS Summary: 5 Stars
OK, I got this for my second baby (my first Graco Quattro stroller was stolen). I tried several of these types of strollers WITH my Graco infant carseat, and this was the one that fit securely with the carseat. The others were just not secure, and needed straps, etc. to hold the seat in. This moved like a DREAM- I was so sad when my baby outgrew it. It was really great to be able to manuever the stroller with one hand and hold onto my 3 year old with the other. The only downside was that the generous sized basket did not collapse down, so if you wanted to put stuff in there, it could be tricky. I usually tried to put my diaper bag, etc. in there before I loaded baby. Also, it folded very easily, and was soooo light to pick up- even after my c-section. I really loved this stroller, and only wished that there was some way to convert it into a sit-up stroller when the baby outgrows the infant car seat. Oh well.
Customer Review: The perfect stroller for infants Summary: 5 Stars
My husband and I tried out a lot of strollers in the store, including some of the "travel systems" with matching stroller and carset. While those look nice, we found them to be heavy, bulky and difficult to manuever around tight corners. Then we tried the Graco SnugRider.
We love it!!! It is lightweight, turns tight corners, and is extremely stable. My nervous dad (first-time grandfather) even made the comment on a walk one day "You can't turn this thing over if you tried!". And he's right, it's very stable on uneven surfaces. I also love the deep storage underneath where the carseat sits, and it's easy to drop things down there even with the carseat sitting on top.
Closing and opening the stroller is super-fast and simple. My only complaint is the round cupholder doesn't hold a large-sized water bottle, or larger soda cup, but despite that, I still think it's the perfect stroller.
Customer Review: Quick and easy Summary: 4 Stars
The stroller worked well with our Graco SnugRides (we had both an older and newer seat, ~00 and 04 models, and they both worked fine with the stroller frame). It was simple to fold and unfold, not heavy, and packed nicely into the back of my compact SUV. We also could fit the folded stroller in my husbands VW Beetle trunk. It did just fine rolling over all manner of terrain -- we would take it on dirt and gravel trails, sometimes rolling it through tall unkempt grassy areas, without any difficulty or ruining anything on the stroller. I have to say it must be really well-made for the abuse we put it through! The two drawbacks were the difficulty getting into the basket with the seat on and the fact that the stroller use is limited by how long your baby will be in the infant car seat. My kid is outgrowing the car seat now at 8 months, so the stroller is getting put in storage with the seats...
