Baby Products Reviews of Graco SnugRider Infant Car Seat Stroller FrameCustomer Review: Back Saver! Summary: 5 Stars
My husband and I love this stroller! Our baby hit 20 pounds by 4 months and carrying him in his carseat was a big strain on the back. This is not an off roading stroller and not great for heavy outdoor use. We have a MacLaren Techno for that that we also love. We use this stroller for grocery shopping mostly and for that it is perfect. Our kids have all hated being in their carseats when they are awake but, when they fall asleep on the way to the store this stroller is awesome! It's very easy put the carseat in and take it out. The bottle holder fits playtex sippy cups and small water bottles perfectly in the holder. The basket underneath is huge but, you have to put stuff in before the carseat if it's really big. I use this only for it's intended purpose and I think it was well worth the money. I also love that the baby faces you in this stoller. If your looking for a stoller for heavy outdoor use this wouldn't be a great buy for that I would get a BOB stroller because the Safeseat also fits.
Customer Review: LOST WITHOUT IT Summary: 5 Stars
I was online looking for the next stage carseat also hoping I could continue using the the Snugrider. We used the snugrider everyday. It was so convienent transporting the baby from the car to the stroller. We used it everywhere. We walked around the neighborhood with it, used it in the mall, it was small enough to manage in restruants, anywhere. Especially when the baby got heavier, it made taking him in and out even for a minute to a convienent store easier than carring him. It is actually the most useful baby product I have. My son is 16 lb. and 26 in, I should be moving him into a bigger carseat but I think I will wait until he reaches 20lbs. I don't want to give up the snugrider. It will be such a pain to remove him from the car seat and put him into a regular umbrella stroller. Love this item!!! Can't say enough. I have bought it for everyone of my friends as baby shower gift. My son is 7 months and we used it everyday. It is not expensive and is worth every penny. Love it!!
Customer Review: Life Saver, but could use some shocks and a real cupholder Summary: 4 Stars
This is a great little stroller frame. I have the Graco Quattro Deluxe travel system with the Snugride32 car seat and this base comes in so handy when I don't want to lug around the Cadillac of strollers. I use it for shopping, errands, quick strolls to the grocery store, etc. I never have to even take a cart; the storage is phenomenal. I also take it to grandma's so if my mom wants to take the baby on a stroll she can. It is also wonderful for traveling. Plus, if the baby falls asleep in the car you don't have to disturb her.
The reason I gave it four stars not five: I live in the city and it has very little shock absorption, as long as you stay attuned to the pavement you can make it where you are going without too many jostles, though for a really sensitive or jumpy baby it might not work out so well. Also, the cup holder is Wwwwwwwwwaaaayyy too small. I understand why you can't put coffee in it, but it isn't even large enough for my small sigg water bottle ;(
Customer Review: So handy, small, & lightweight! Summary: 5 Stars
Wow- when I researced strollers for our baby- the Snap N Go looked like a great option with our car's limited storage- but it seemed difficult to use with the Graco SnugRide- and it lacked those little red lock-down tabs to hold down the car seat on travel systems. When I saw Graco had issued a similar car seat frame- I was thrilled!
The assembly is easy and requires no tools. It takes me more tme to prepare my diaper than it did to assemble this.
The compact size fits beautifully in our car, the stroller is small enough to take anywhere and has a small turning radius so it's quite manueverable.
I like that the stroller gives you the same perspective of an old style pram where you can see your baby's face well while standing or sitting.
Good handle height for people around 6' tall. The wheels are good on mosy urban surfaces and roll easily. The wheel locks are easy to engage and disengage- even wearing sport sandals.
Customer Review: Buy with the swing frame, too!! Summary: 4 Stars
(We own the swing frame for the car seat as well, and it is a great system/package!)
This stroller is easier than carrying an increasingly heavy baby in the car seat around a store. It moves about nicely, is less cumbersome and tacky than a stroller system, and does not rust, warp, or get ruined if your husband leaves it outside in a snow storm or a rain storm, or a hail storm... I would not recommend doing this, however.
Yeah, the cup holder flies off if your drink is too heavy. Yeah, the standard-size Starbucks cups do not fit in the round one -- and what the heck do you put in the other-shaped one?! Yeah, your diaper bag and other medium- to large-sized sundries don't fit in the low=profile storage area, lest you want your hands to become permanently stuck. But I toss smaller things in there all the time with no problem, and the otherwise easy use (and fairly easy assembly) far outweighs these minor setbacks.
