Baby Products Reviews of Graco SnugRider Infant Car Seat Stroller FrameCustomer Review: best fit Summary: 5 Stars
Just bought this infant car seat carrier from Babies R Us.The assembly was very easy.Since this carrier is for Snugride and Safeseat car seat only, there are no extra bars or straps that need to be adjusted by parents. So we put the snugride right in. It locks into the carrier at three places--very secure, very easy. I have to say that two of the latches that attach the car seat to the frame are hard to release(turn) after they are locked. This maybe because it is brandnew. It is really not a problem.
I also like that it stands after it is folded. So we can put it right into our car. It is really light and has a bigger basket than Snap-N-Go's. I noticed that even with the Snugride infant car seat in place, it is very easy for me to access the basket below. Oh, it is better-looking than Snap-N-Go and Kolcraft's Universal car seat frame too.
Both my husband and I are happy with this purchase. If you are buying a Snugride or a Safeseat infant car seat, definitely go with this carrier insead of other So-called "universal fit" ones.
Customer Review: Must need for on-the-go Mom!! Summary: 5 Stars
I love this item!! My girlfriend had the snap-and-go from a Mom-to-Mom sale. I realized when we had gone to lunch how bulky and cumbersome my Graco stroller was. After reading reviews, I'm glad I purchased the Graco SnugRider Stroller. A lot of reviews commented on how hard it was to open by turning the handle, that it would snap but the key is the use the red "push" button on the side and not the handle when opening. Turning the handle to close is a breeze and can be done with one hand. I love how lightweight it is and also that it only takes up a fraction of the amount of room in the trunk. It has been great to run errands with my son. Sometimes we use it in stores since the bottom is so roomy. Plus I can add my swivel hangers to carry more bags, etc. The stroller has a smooth ride and is a breeze getting through small aisles in clothing stores--great for mall trips. Also perfect for Moms who don't have to break their back trying to wrangle a bulky stroller in the trunk, especially when your baby starts to fuss.
Customer Review: Gets the job done but not great Summary: 3 Stars
There are several pros and cons to this stroller system
Pros:
-Not as bulky as a travel system. You don't look like you're pushing a yacht around the park.
-Folds up nice and flat. Have no problem fitting it in the trunk.
-Absolutely HUGE basket. You could really go nuts at the mall and not fill this thing up.
Cons:
-There are no shocks on the wheels. When my sleeping baby goes over rough terrain, she often startles and then wakes up.
-As my husband says, it handles like a truck. You have to think ahead when steering because this thing turns on a frisbee, not a dime.
-Cup holders are useless. About the only thing that would fit in it is a small coffee and the warning label says not to put anything hot in it.
All in all, if I had to do it again, I'd buy a lightweight travel system and look like a small yacht strolling around the park because then at least when my baby outgrew this model, I'd have a functional stroller that handles well.
Customer Review: gets the job done... Summary: 4 Stars
When buying things for our first child, I knew I didn't want a travel system. I didn't want to lug around a huge, useless stroller in addition to a carseat. So, the Snap N Go was the only way to go. I bought a used Kolcraft Universal SnapNGo and ended up selling it because the seat didn't snap in properly. I'm much happier with the Graco model. I like the padded hand grips and the adjustable handle. The cup holders fit a bottled water, but that's it. I absolutely LOVE the basket -- it's huge! However, the wheels are terrible!! We live in a suburban sub-division and this stroller is SO bumpy going over curbs and bumps in the sidewalk. The cheapy wheels actually got jammed in a crack on the curb. After using this stroller, a good shock system was at the top of my "wants" list for the full-size stroller we purchased. Overall, it gets the job done as an easy solution for transporting little babies before they outgrow the Snugride, but the wheels are terrible and best-used at the mall or on flat surfaces.
Customer Review: A Must Have, Even If You Have a Travel System Summary: 5 Stars
I do not own a Graco car seat (I have a Chicco travel system with infant carrier and stroller), but I swear by this product. I use the SnugRider with my Chicco infant carrier; it doesn't snap in, but it fits in firmly and in the 5 months that I have used this product (multiple uses per week), I have never had any issues with the seat not feeling secure. While travel systems are great, the strollers are big and heavy. And with a newborn baby that is too tiny to sit in the actual stroller, there is no need to lug around the travel system stroller. This is the perfect solution. The SnugRider folds up great for easy portability, plus it is incredibly lightweight. I had to travel across the country when my child was 8 weeks old. I travelled with the infant carrier and this stroller. I visited multiple tourist attractions and theme parks with this product and my infant carrier. I was able to fit 2 diaper bags, the baby, and multiple bags of souvenirs in the basket. I highly recommend this product!
