Customer Review: Car seat WAY big and bulky

We needed to get a new stroller for this baby and wanted a travel system, so we bought the Graco Quattro (in the Deco pattern, which I love, but doesn't seem to be available at Amazon anymore) and have been using it for 3-1/2 months now since our son was born. Though I read a lot of reviews, I wish I had given more weight to the ones here that talk about how big and bulky the car seat is. It is ridiculously big and heavy and causes much inconvenience. Very heavy to carry now with our son at 14 lbs.--can't imagine at twice his weight. The worst part is the width of the seat. It doesn't fit in ANY restaurant booths, and won't sit on an upside-down wooden high chair either--if the restaurant you are at doesn't have the sling for the carrier, you will not be happy. Also, doesn't sit well on shopping carts. If it does clip onto the front of the cart, it sits at an odd and uncomfortable-for-baby looking angle. Finally, getting it in and out of the car in a parking spot is difficult. I find myself looking and waiting for spots next to handicapped zones so I will be able to open the door wide enough to get it in and out easily. I do like the stroller, though it is also big and bulky, but it rides nice and maneuvers pretty well. The stroller was also easy to assemble. When putting the car seat into the stroller, you have to drop the seat back down, and I agree with other reviewers, it is not a friendly process. Today I decided I had had enough of the car seat, and dug out my daughter's old Graco Lite Rider car seat. Once I found that it would actually clip into the new stroller, I swapped out the fabric pieces (though canopy doesn't fit great on old one, seems to work ok), and am going to go back to that old seat. It is about 3" smaller in width than the new one, and definitely a lot lighter. Overall, I would not recommend this system now that we have used it for awhile.Customer Review: my biceps are huge!

I read so many reviews looking for the right travel system for my in-laws to purchase. I told them to purchase this one and this color through amazon. Well it looks great for sure but the car seat is soo heavy! My son was born early at 6 lbs 9 ozs and all I can say is thank god! That thing is so heavy to lug around. I have to use both arms, yes arms, not hands. I am not a petite person either. I work out and lift weights regularly even when I was pregnant and thank god because this sucker is heavy! The stroller is pretty heavy getting in and out of the suv too but not too bad. I can't wait where I don't have to carry the carseat anymore since that is the biggest downfall for me. Its too heavy and my baby looks squished when he's in it. I still had to buy a head positioner as well when this already has one with it. It doesn't help since my son's head was flopping to the side, so I bought a positioner and it was fixed. Another thing about the car seat I almost forgot. It is way to big to fit in the top of the grocery cart seats. I tried different places and people working there even tried to help. Its too big so I have to shove it in the seat sideways and hold onto it to make sure it doesnt roll over. Very disappointing!
Again, the carseat so heavy, large and tight, the stroller is a little heavy but is a very smooth ride. If you still want to purchase this thing start working on your upper body strength now as you will need it!

I've been using this travel system since my son was born, so for 4 1/2 months now. Yes it's big and a little bulky to move around. However the stroller part seems to give baby a nice comfortable ride. He's not bounced and jostled all over. I even would stroll him around the block as an infant in just the stroller part. It will lay all the way down and you can put the feet part up so tiny babies are fully protected. It is large fitting in the truck on my car but I can still fit all of my groceries around it so I don't mind. One complaint I saw here was that the car seat was too heavy. Well my son is now 14 lbs. and I can still lift it around. Yes it gets harder to do but talking to other moms I hear the same complaint from them from all of their car seats. Of course once your baby gets heavy you don't want to lug it anywhere. Just take the baby out if it gets to that. I still have no problem with it now. I never have had any problem fitting it into a shopping cart. I don't mind that it's bulky or heavy because to me that makes it more sturdy and I fully intend to use this for any other children I have as well. Overall I this this travel system and am very happy I bought it.Customer Review: Good quality, fast shipment, item as expected.

We searched online for good travel system using reviews, then went and checked out the best rated models in store. I wish there would be more different colors of same model, but unfortunately if color is different then the fabric quality is different as well, so we went for for townsend, which we liked the best.
The assembly was fast and easy. Note this travel system comes with the base for the car seat as well. The car seat is very good, 'cause you don't need to adjust the belts on the back on the seat (as with some car seats) every time you put your child in it, you just pull the belt in front and that is it. 360grad radius of canopy on the stroller is very nice and sturdy. Cup holders is a very nice touch as well.
The stroller is a bit bid though, it is not the best size stroller to go shopping with the baby.
Over all I'd recommend this TS to everyone, check it out in stores (Burlington, Babysrus) and get it if you like it, it is a good choice for the money.

I love our car seat and stroller! The car seat is awesome because you can use it up to 32 lbs and 32 inches. It is a bit bigger than their Snugride model (obviously :), but that doesn't bother me because my daughter can stay in this one longer. (Meaning I don't have to upgrade as soon!) The stroller is a bit bulky, but I'm okay with that, too, because this stroller gives my baby the smoothest ride. She loves going for walks in this! (And I love taking her!) It is super easy to expand and collapse with just one hand. I also really like the gender-neutral design. The fabric is also very soft and smooth. I've been using this for almost a year now, and it looks just as nice as it did when I first got it. I would recommend this to everyone!
