Customer Review: Life Saver

This is a fabulous product. Really, REALLY useful in the newborn period (we have it right up next to our bed), and my husband and I don't know what we would do without it for our 7 week old. Here's what we like and don't:
PROS:
1. the newborn napper: It is awesome. Very soft and comfortable and our little guy loves it. It is much more comfy than a hard flat bed, but very safe. When swaddled his face never ever has come near the side so we are not afraid of SIDS in the least with this. It seems more womb-like to me (maybe that's why he sleeps like a rock in it verses not so great in our other bassinet), and I tucked some breast pads around the headrest part to get mommy's smell in there. I can't imagine a better place for him to sleep.
2. the changing table: I love that it is right there - so convenient for nighttime changes. I also think it is much safer because of the sidewalls - I am never worried about him rolling out by accident.
3. the bassinet portion: we don't use it as a bassinet, but it is fabulous for storage. We put a ton of diapers, wipes, an extra swaddler, extra clothes, etc. in there and it is super convenient.
4. the design: It's gender neutral and very nice looking unlike many of the other styles, IMO.
CONS
1. The newborn napper cannot be removed and used separately. Not a huge deal, but would be nice.
2. The changing table leans. Actually, I knew this before buying and thought it would be really irritating, bt it doesn't bother me at all. It doesn't affect the functionality of it so far. My friend with an lder (heavier) baby says her's works just fine for her too.
3. The bassinet only hlds up to 15 pounds. This renders it useless as a bassinet for us, but it's so wonder ful as a storage area that this doesn't matter too much either.
4. The newborn napper cover is a bit difficult to remove. Hasn't been a hige problem - he sprayed it during a diaper change once and so we had to change it, but we don't feel the need to wash it very much anyway.
That's about it. Seems to fold up prety easily. We don't need the extra bells and whistles of the sounds and vibrating stuff (our baby sleeps very well without it) although it seems to work well enough. Haven't used it as a playpen, but look forward to that in the future. Overall, a fantastic product and would purchase a million times over. Hope this helps!
