Customer Review: Easy to Store, Difficult to Clean

The main reason I bought this highchair was because of the way it folded up--it will fit in the tiny space between our fridge and kitchen cabinets so it's out of the way most of the time. The other good thing about this high chair is that it is very sturdy. I don't ever worry that it will topple over when expanded. The biggest drawbacks for me 1) the tray is too large to fit inside the dishwasher, so I have to hand wash it every time. 2) there are a lot of crevices in the fabric of the seat where food gets stuck. The brown fabric has a texture that grabs food-- cleaning up avocado or eggs is a nightmare!
If I were making a highchair purchase again, I would choose one that is all solid plastic so I could do a better job of sponge cleaning it after every meal. I wish I could put the whole thing in the shower or under the hose to deep clean it. Yes, you can remove the cover for laundering, and you do get an extra cover, but it's a five minute operation with a zillion snaps. Too much work for a busy mom!

I read many reviews on this high chair before purchasing but none prepared me for the poor design leading to an UNSAFE high chair. I can live with inconveniences like the waist strap being too low, the foot rest being too far back etc. but I can't live with safety flaws.
1. When my 7 month old son sits in the chair he can reach the red buttons that collapse the seat (for storage) when he pushes the red buttons and then pulls on the front of the snack tray (which he does when he gets excited for another bite) the seat begins to fold up flat.
2. My son got his arm caught between the chair and the support legs every time we put him in it. I tried to stuff towels in the gap to keep his arm from getting stuck but they didn't stay (he wanted to pull them out and chew on them)
I contacted Graco and they took the highchair back and refunded my money which was helpful but I would not recommend putting your child in this high chair.

I LOVE this high chair. My in-laws bought this for us and I haven't been happier with any other baby gear we have. I had a Tripp Trapp that I wasn't thrilled with and so we got this instead. Here are the things I love: The tray has an insert that you can take out so essentially you have two trays to use, but the tray insert snaps on in such a way that my daughter can't figure out how to get it out, and her nickname is Destructo. There are two ways to put the tray on and and take it off. There are two handles on the side that you push simultaneously or if you're one handed there's a push lever in the front that moves it forward or backwards. Also it comes with two covers for the chair so when one is dirty you can change it. It took me a bit to figure out how to change them the first time (I didn't want to pull out the instruction book), but I look at that as a good thing. They certainly won't slip off with her in the chair. All in all I love this high chair.Customer Review: Sturdy and only one problem

I bought this for my daughter to use for my grandson. I wanted something sturdy and easy to use and easy to clean. There are two trays which is nice because it's easy to take off and clean. I was hoping that the underneath tray would swing out or lift off to make putting the baby in easier, but it doesn't. I remember with my kids that, at some point, they will stiffen their legs on the way in or out of the seat and scrape their legs. This is the only difficulty I found with this high chair. The pattern is little boring, but that is not so important. And some may like it!Customer Review: Awesome

This highchair is awesome. My son will actually sit in it for the duration of a meal without crying. It's easy to clean, and the recline and height are easily adjusted. The 5-point harness keeps him from falling over or out and is fully adjustable too. With a dishwasher safe tray insert and 2 seat covers, I can keep this clean better than I can my own table. This is highly recommended to anyone looking for a good highchair.
