The Graco Bumper Jumper works well, as it clamps firmly above solidly built door casings. This is a good piece of exercise equipment for a baby who hasn't yet learned to walk. I sought this out for our new grandson, as I remembered how well it worked for our own children. After feeding my son, I would pop him into his jumper while my husband and I sat down and ate. The jumper hung in the doorway to the dining room, so my son could see us, and was happy. We bought this for our daughter around 3 months and started using it at 4 months. At first she simply sat in it and cried. Finally around 6 months old she figured it out and now likes to jump in it. Now (8months old)I can put her in it for 15-20 minutes and she will jump 'til her heart's content. Great way for her to get exercise and great for her to play by herself while I check email or do other things with her in my line of sight. We had one of these for our two older children when they were babies too. We've never had anyone tip it or fall out of it. We put all of our children in it before the recommended age and stuffed blankets around them. They loved it. They don't bounce more than they're able to handle and with us right next to them we were ready for any problems that might arise. None ever have. And the results when they can really bounce are HILARIOUS. My oldest practiced each new sound madly and crazily while bouncing as hard as here little legs could go. My son was very into long graceful bounces to the classical music we put on for him. My newest is very focused and serious about bouncing, for her it's a real workout. Watching their little legs go crazy is spectacular entertainment for all of us. Didn't even occur to me until recently that it's good exercise for them! I recommend this to anyone - the other versions - the ones on the stands actually look a little scary to me. My kids would have been bouncing across the floor or flipping them over. My son just turned 4 months old and he loves this - he loves it more and more every day. And it is good exercise! My nieces and nephew loved it also when they were younger.....I highly recommend this.
