I absolutely love this monitor. I had chosen and purchased a different brand monitor when I first started looking for items when I was expecting. I read about the Angelcare monitor about two weeks before my baby was due, ordered it, and decided to give it a try (still keeping the first monitor I'd bought in case this one wasn't for me.) Guess what? The other monitor went back to the store unopened. The Angelcare monitor does everything it says it will do. We used it first in the bassinet, then moved it to the crib when my son started scooting himself around too much in the bassinet. Did I mention my son is a scooter? Yes, he is. The alarm has gone off once, when he scooted himself to the far end of the crib and I thank God that is the only reason it has gone off for us. The only other time it has gone off is when we've taken the baby out of his crib and forgotten to turn the main unit off. One thing to keep in mind is not to have a ceiling fan going right above the crib as the sensor will detect it as movement even if the baby is not in the crib. That is how sensitive the sensor is. It works great and allows me to sleep at night without having to keep one ear awake for peace of mind.Customer Review: A must have!

Now that our baby girl is almost 7 months old, she can easily turn over on her stomach during the night, which I know puts her at additional risk for SIDS. Thank God I have this movement-sensing monitor. Last night was the the third time in the last two months that we were woken up by the monitor alarm. I wish I could say that she had moved off the sensor, but all 3 times she had rolled onto her stomach right above where the sensor is placed, so the breathing monitor alarming could only mean that she either did, indeed, stop breathing for at least 20 seconds, or she was in such a deep sleep that she was breathing so shallowly that the monitor wasn't picking up ANY movement from her. I guess there is no way to know, but since we have it set at max. sensitivity, I have to think that without this monitor, we might have lost our precious little angel. I don't even want to think where we might be right now without this monitor alerting us those three times. THIS MOVEMENT SENSOR MONITOR IS WORTH ITS WEIGHT IN GOLD.Customer Review: Such a Blessing!!!

This monitor is WONDERFUL! Originally, we pegged it as one of those 'overboard' things to get for a baby. My Husband went out and bought it the first night we had our son home! We too, used it in a bassinet first, now in his crib (he's 4 months old). It's amazing, there are no words for the peace of mind the movement sensor brings - let alone the awesome clarity of the receiver. We even take this when we travel! It's worth all the money in the world to know your child is breathing...and if they stop - this will alert you! It's gone off when we've forgotten to turn it off after lifting him out...and, ironically, has also gone off twice when we've (run in) and found him sideways at the end of the crib - also a scooter! By all means, the MOST IMPORTANT and VALUABLE piece of baby gear we've gotten. This has worked perfectly...above and beyond our expectations.Customer Review: Such a Blessing!!!
