Customer Review: Such a nice product to own for travel
Summary: 5 Stars

2/2011

We just got back from our trip to Orlando with our 4 yr old and 2 yr old. Having these wheels made travel through the airport a breeze. They are easy to strap onto my Britax Marathon and my daughter was comfy in her seat. We wheeled her up to security. She did have to be carried through the metal detector but I had no issues when I asked them to hand wand my seat and not send it through the scanner. (in Orlando they have a scanner big enough to send it through on the belt face down).

We strapped her back in and were off to the gate. At boarding I removed and gate checked my wheels and carried my car seat onto the plane. Strapped it into a window seat, strapped my daughter in and she fell asleep on the plane, how divine.

Once we arrived I strapped the gate checked wheels back on and off we went.

If you plan to buy your child a seat and want to use your carseat, this product is a good investment. I was leary of purchasing because I felt the cost was steep, but they were definitely worth it.

Upon our return to Philly my husband left me at baggage claim with both children and our 4 big pieces of luggage while he went to long term parking to get the car. I was able to strap the four pieces of luggage together wheel out two in my left hand while I pushed two foward with my right and drag the car seat containing my daughter across the bus lanes and over to the van. (my 4 yr old held onto a suitcase).

It just made the whole travel portion of our trip so much easier.

Customer Review: Best Invention Yet... but NOT a True Fit Pal!
Summary: 3 Stars

I LOVE this invention!! I so wanted to stop every single person I saw hauling & lugging around a car seat about this product! It's a smooth ride, pulls easily, my little man loved it... it was easy to push forward too... We bought it on all the positive reviews & recommendations fo friends. Indeed, in the states, we were never asked to take it off, & they would just take it over to a larger scanner at security & return it... in Japan we found that have the car seat face down, still attached, it through their scanners! So it really was worth the efforts!

The only issues we encountered... is that though other reviewers & the box both said it wold work with the Safety First True Fit Convertible Car Seat... it did NOT! The car seat kept shifting & falling off the ribs... the more we tightened & cinched to the point the backboard was bending & the tether strap piece was pulling up... the worse it got... that the teeth on the security strap were stripped off. I recommend that the tether point be at the bottom of the backboard so as to help aid in the load & the shifting. My son is only 14 moths old & 23 lbs.... this shouldn't have been an issue. I was careful going over bumps to prevent the shifting but nothing worked. He didn't wiggle or fight his seat... so I am not sure what went wrong. This was a newer modle too... July 2010.

All this said & the poor star rating, we are buying another one just to make the trip back to Japan. We really can't see living without it! It totally beat lugging a stroller around & fighting security with it!

Customer Review: This worked great!

We recently took a trip from Phoenix to Washington DC with a layover in Texas. We needed to take our Britax Roundabout car seat because we were not renting a car in DC and needed a car seat for the shuttle and taxicabs. This item allowed us to take the car seat with ease and no fuss. We practiced attaching the cart to our seat the night before the trip and I am glad we did. The directions are not very clear and it took us some time to decipher them. Once we figured it out, my husband was able to attach and detach our car seat without any help from me.

At the airport, we simply asked security for a hand-check so that we dd not have to put it through the X-ray machine and they had no problem with this. We did take the wheels off on the plane but the cart fit nicely under the seat in front of us. We had enough time once the plane landed and we waited for our row to exit to reattach the wheels before it was our turn to exit the plane. We had a lot of travelers stop us to ask us about the go go kidz since they were also looking for a solution to traveling with car seats.

In DC, we loved the ease of using our car seat as a stroller. It allowed us to wheel our son onto the metro, ride to our destination and even have his car seat in Taxicabs when we needed it. The wheels stayed on the seat in all of our taxi and shuttle rides. It was awesome.

I did not give it 5 stars as I think there is room for improvement (better directions, more stability) but over all I would highly recommend this product for travels with Toddlers!

Customer Review: Best thing I could find for airplanes, but could be so much better...
Summary: 3 Stars

Pros: (1) Functions well enough that it was at least _feasible_ for me to travel alone while taking my 13 month-old on an airplane trip (for which he was a ticketed passenger and needed the seat) and also taking 2 carry-ons, 1 checked duffel, and a baby carrier (a sling, in my case).

(2) I haven't found anything better (but wish I could).

Cons: (1) Not nearly as easy as it _should_ be to install and/or remove, even on our Britax Roundabout (for which it was supposedly designed). And it would be _soooo_ easy to re-engineer the fastening device for ease-of-use. This device is clearly the product of a poor imagination or a lazy mind. One is left wondering... Did the designers and manufacturers actually ever try to _use_ the device in the real world? Sheesh!

(2) Not OK to leave wheels attached during travel. This wouldn't be such a big deal if not for Con #1, discussed above. Besides the manufacturer's CYA statement in manual, which cites the lack of crash-test data, the wheels alter the carseat angle, pitching the seat forward a bit whether rear-facing or forward-facing. Thus, baby cannot recline and nap comfortably.

(3) Telescoping handle does not extend and retract very easily--often failing to catch and lock in an extended or folded position when it should--consistent with the general problem of cheap construction. Take the worst, most cheaply constructed folding luggage cart you may have ever seen (thinking back to the days before roller bags became a common sight at the airport) and you have the idea.

Customer Review: Works great...You don't have to put it through the X-ray machine!
