The Go-Go Kidz TravelMate quickly and easily attaches to most convertible or toddler car seats. It has 5-inch wheels and a telescopic handle for easily wheeling your child in his or her car seat. Since the FAA strongly recommends that children under 40 pounds use a car seat for air travel, the TravelMate saves you the hassle of hauling your car seat -- and your active toddler, plus all your gear -- through the airport. The TravelMate's wheels detach easily for passing through airport security X-ray machines. The handle features four-position adjustability, ranging from 28 inches to 50-1/2 inches for maximum versatility. Customer Review: A must for any long journey

After taking a trip to Thailand with my son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren ages 3 months and 2 without the Travelmate and then returning with the Travelmate a year later--I can say without any reservations that the trip with the Travelmates was much easier on everyone!
This is such a wonderful invention for people who travel with small kids and car seats and all of their related and needed stuff. By the time we returned to Thailand--which is a 24 hour trip with one stop in Japan--the Travelmate was on our list of must haves! If you've ever walked the miles in the international airports with babies and toddlers and their car seats, strollers, diaper bags, etc. you know that the distance from the plane exit to the customs and out the door to a taxi becomes longer by the minute! Or if you've had a five hour layover with the kids and the "stuff" you know how long that can be. With the Travelmate attached to the car seats and the kids in the car seats, the only thing left to carry were the diaper bags and carry on luggage. Made navigating airports incredibly easy.
The Travelmate was easy to put on and take off the car seat--especially after we convinced my son that reading the directions wasn't the sign of being a sissy! We were able to get the car seats through almost all of the security checkpoints without taking it off the car seat. We were also able to keep the wheels on the seats on the planes. We had requested the bulk head seats and the car seats with their Travelmates fit with no problem. However, they were sometimes difficult to roll down the narrow airplane aisles.
The kids seemed comfortable in the car seats being rolled through the airport. We were able to roll them both in front of us and behind us. The Travelmate was strong and sturdy allowing us to roll the car seat onto the escalator stairs with no fear we'd see one of the tots fall to the bottom! That said, we did check the attachments frequently to make sure the screws were tight. They always were! Each child was able to carry their own little pack with their blankets, books, snacks, and a favorite toy and we were able to thread it through the car seats straps so it didn't constantly fall to the ground for constant adult exercise in the pick up.
The Travelmate also was used to travel by train. It wasn't the best vehicle for navigating Bangkok and other Thai terrain, but it worked as we traversed through the train station. The kids seemed comfortable in the car seats which also allowed them to sleep on the longer train rides.
If you travel a great deal with babies and toddlers, I can't recommend this item high enough. It is a cheaper option than the wheeled car seats and works better on uneven pavement, brick laid pavement, stones etc.
Also, the item is easy to put on the car seat and take off--especially if you read the directions in advance and zero in on your car seat model.
Our well-traveled Travelmates have been to Thailand, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, Laos, Malaysia, and other countries. They have saved our backs, have increased our emotional travel endurance by decreasing toddler unhappiness.
