Customer Review: An excellent bottle worth every penny

Like most couples we spent a lot of time and money trying different types of feeding bottles. The First Years Soothie worked well initially for our baby daughter but after a while the flow was too weak and latching also became difficult for her. The next size up nipple was too strong and made her choke. We then spent a small fortune trying Dr Browns, Avent, Playtex Ventaire, and a couple of others. Some bottles she outright refused, others caused tummy pain/gas.
We were a little skeptical at first about these Gerber bottles since they're so much cheaper than the rest. But in this instance the price is by no means a reflection of the quality of this product. It took a couple of attempts but our baby soon became comfortable with these bottles. My wife and I were delighted with the results (only wish we had discovered these sooner). Obviously it may not work everyone but here are the key benefits for us:
1. steady milk flow (not too fast and not too slow) - started when was 3 months old, now she is 4 and a half
2. no colic or gas issues
3. BPA free
4. bottles have never leaked!
5. very easy to clean, nothing fiddly (important to us since we're low on sleep)
6. latex nipples (our baby seems to prefer these to silicone)
7. air inside bottle is replaced when milk is sucked out so there is no excess pressure when milk is low
In our experience there is nothing bad about these bottles. Sometimes there is a faint hissing sound when air is replacing milk, but that hasn't bothered our daughter. Every baby is different I know and some wont like this I'm sure, but for the price you cant go wrong. Its definitely worth a try.
