Baby Products Reviews of Fresh N Freeze 2 oz. Reusable Baby Food Containers 12-PackCustomer Review: Good product Summary: 4 Stars
So far so good. I just received these in the mail and made my first batch of baby food.
Pros: Tight stay-on lids. Two ounce size seems good for my baby at this stage.
Cons: Two cons that I've noticed so far... the containers do stack as the description says but they don't seem to be as strong as implied. (I knock things over a lot and I bumped these a few times and some of the containers fell over.) Not a big deal but don't expect a tight connection when stacked. The second thing I noticed as I was filling these containers up was that when they are full, the increment lines are impossible to read. I made the mistake of filling them up (as you would a measuring cup) and then trying to read how much I had in the container. The lines and measurements seem to disappear. Again, not a major problem, just look at the line first to know where you are intending to fill to.
I know the cons seem to outweigh the pros but I am happy with my purchase so far and would buy these again.
Customer Review: simply excellent Summary: 5 Stars
These containers are absolutely wonderful for home made baby food.
1. They are microwave- and dishwasher-safe (a must these days).
2. They are convenient for freezer storage (though some times I have a hard time attaching them to the tray).
3. Portable, with no leakage or open lids.
4. The marks (1 and 2 oz) are very helpful. Don't fill them over the 2 oz mark - frozen food expands and overfilling may cause the lids to pop open. Other than this, the lids are securely locked.
5. You can label the food and freeze different foods to your liking. It makes these containers much more versatile than ice cube trays and baby food storage systems that are similar to ice cube trays. In the middle of the week, I can never remember what I put in those cubes :)
Check out the labels that one step ahead carries - they are pricey, but quite a find as well.
Customer Review: Very good for homemade baby food storage and thawing Summary: 4 Stars
These little containers are wonderful. They hold up to 2 oz. with designated lines for both 1 and 2 oz. for easy filling. The thawing process is easy as well, as you can put these in the microwave for 40 seconds and the food is perfect. They haven't warped at all from over 4 months of daily use. The storage tray for the 12 containers make it nice and neat for the freezer. The containers snap in with ease.
The one negative is that the lids are sometimes hard to place on the containers. They don't screw on with as much ease as I thought they would. It takes a couple of tries to get the lid in just the right spot on the container in order to twist it one tightly.
Other than that minor issue, this product is fantastic~ I recommend it to anyone planning on making baby food at home.
Customer Review: Awesome! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought a Baeba Babyfood maker and needed containers to use with it. I didn't want to use regular tupperware containers because of concerns about BPA, etc.
These containers are awesome. It's like they thought of everything when making them. Right now my baby is 6 months, and each container holds MORE than enough food for him (2 ounces each). They snap into the tray, and snap onto each other for easy stacking in the fridge or freezer. And, I love the screw on lids! Perfect!
You can put them in the dishwasher, microwave, freezer...I'm really loving these things. If I had had them earlier, I think they would have been perfect for storing small amounts of pumped breastmilk too.
Well worth the purchase.
Customer Review: Excellent Containers for Storing Homemade Baby Food Summary: 4 Stars
I am very pleased with this product, which allows me to save homemade baby food. Like other reviewers, I freeze most of my babies' food in ice cube trays, and store the blocks in larger containers. Each night, I take out the required blocks for the next day and pop them into these containers. They defrost in the refrigerator, ready for use. We can take them with us on trips. I may buy another set because I have twins, which doubles the amount of food to be stored.
I have yet to have one burst upon falling from the freezer, but it is obvious that this is what will happen. However, they are so convenient and useful, that I am delighted with them, and recommend them to other parents who want to make and store their own baby food.
