I purchased these trays from Whole Foods (same exact item) and I was really happy with them until the plastic started peeling off from the inside of the cubes. I'm returning them because I'm afraid the plastic will flake off into the baby food. I'm really sad that I have to return them because I loved them until I noticed the peeling plastic. (Per my wife) She had been talking about these trays. Her biggest praise was for how well the cubes, after freezing, fall out of these trays. No messy frozen cleanup. Regular ice trays tend to stick and break up. The lid is another good thing. She use to use plastic cling wrap that never stayed on very well in the freezer. With a regular ice cube tray you get more cubes but this is a good product. I like the lid which makes it a lot neater than using tin foil to cover. If you are debating whether or not to buy... just use an ice cube tray. This is not a "must need" baby item. A bit over priced as well.
I would never use this to store breast milk. I use storage bags because it's easier to measure out and store.

I love these trays so far- the lids seem to fit, I haven't had trouble getting the cubes out, and they've survived the dishwasher. However, the cubes are not 1 oz as advertised- they are more like 3/4 oz if you fill each compartment exactly to the brim. So in reality with puree you'll get even less than that per cube. But as long as you know that going in and can compensate by using more cubes they're great.Customer Review: Great for my purposes

These have been very useful for making my own baby food. I run warm water on the underside when transferring to freezer bags so the cubes easily slide out. Unlike the other reviewers, I have not had a problem with the lids fitting, and I wash and dry in the dishwasher top rack. I do not use a heated dry cycle. I ended up buying two sets so I always have two more clean to make baby food every night or so.
