I bought these trays with the expectation that I could use them for breastmilk and just pop an ounce or two out on occasion to add to a smaller bottle that I pumped. It is entirely too hard to just pop one cube out. The whole thing has to thaw out (at least a little bit) for me to get anything out, which kinda defeats the purpose of having it. My son hasn't started on solids yet, but when he does, I will try them again for some homemade baby food...I don't see any reason why they wouldn't work fine for that.Customer Review: Works well...

Have used this for the past 2-3 months making homemade baby food. No problems. Good durability. Never experienced all of the issues that others complain about with getting cubes out. Prepare one day, freeze overnight, remove the next into ziplocs and you're all set. Getting by with 2, but once the kiddo starts eating more, it might be nice to have another set! One star off perfect as the ld could fit a little tighter. probably not great for storage, but I don't use them that way...Customer Review: Great buy

I really like this product. We decided to make our own baby food for our twin girls. These trays make it so easy and quick. I really like being able to take out one ounce serves so we know how much our girls are getting. Best things: Store great, quick and easy. The cube can be tricky to get out sometimes, so I just run some water on the back of the try before I take off the lid to pop them out and they come out very easily...

After trying sever different options I found one that really works and this is not it. Silicone is much safer and last longer and easier to use. A better solution is Wilton Bite-Size Brownie Squares 24-Cavity Silicone Mold Pan. If you search for Silicone molds there are more options. Having a bit of space makes them freeze faster and much easier to remove from the pan. These are just ice cube trays with covers. Not worth the extra money.Customer Review: Works for me

I disagree with one of the 1 star reviewers. I have a 1oz measuring cup and these trays hold 12 1oz servings perfectly. My lids fit very snugly, but it does clearly state that washing them in the dishwasher could warp them. So I'll just hand wash them. So far, I think they work great and I love that they stack so easily and take up much less real estate in my freezer. Much better than my standard ice cube trays that don't have lids.
