Baby Products Reviews of Fresh Baby So Easy Baby Food and Breast Milk Trays

Customer Review: Works well for me
Summary: 4 Stars

I think these work really well. I bought the OXO Tot Baby Food Freezer Tray, White/Green and these, plus the Vital Baby Press 'n' Pop Mini Freezer Pots, Orange, 1 Ounce, 8 Pack, and like all of them. The Oxo's are a little easier to get out b/c the bottoms are rounded, but the Fresh Baby trays still work well. I have noticed that more watery foods stick more, whereas certain foods pop out easily. Either way, I'm usually emptying the whole tray at the same time to bag the cubes, so I can run just a bit of warm water across the bottom if I need to help them slide out. I haven't had a problem with the lids - just make sure to visually inspect the lids to ensure you have it tightly sealed all the way around - the sides need to be mashed down pretty good. I hand-wash mine.

Customer Review: Just an expensive ice cube tray with a lid...
Summary: 2 Stars

My set of trays were given to me by someone who got them as freebies, but she didn't have a baby and thought I'd make better use of them. Certainly making pureed baby food and storing it frozen in cube form is very convenient, but I do *not* find these "Fresh Baby" trays to be any better than using regular ice cube trays. I do find the trays to be more stiff than my other regular trays, so I have to let them sit on the counter for a few minutes first before I can twist/flex them to get the cubes out. So far I haven't had any problems with the lids snapping properly, as some others have commented, but I also remove the food from the trays after a couple hours when it is frozen and store the cubes in another container. Since I do that, it doesn't even matter that they have lids. In my opinion, save your money and use regular ice cube trays instead.

Customer Review: Perfect trays
Summary: 5 Stars

I make my son's food - puree veggies, fruits, and meats. Each batch fits perfectly in four trays. I then transfer the cubes to large freezer bags. I've been doing this for over two months now and haven't had a problem. I do hand wash them to avoid any warping or shrinking of the covers in the dishwasher. They are easy to clean. The only food that stained them a little was carrots - but I expected that. No big deal. They stack well and the covers are easy on and easy off. Most foods pop right out. Anything that is a little stubborn - leave the cover on and quickly pass the bottom of the tray under hot water. The cubes are approximately one ounce each which makes it easy to determine serving sizes when I prepare meals. Overall I am very happy with these trays and would highly recommend them to anyone making their baby's food.

Customer Review: Easy way to save some money
Summary: 4 Stars

I wanted to feed my son something that I made and knew where it came from. I liked that I could control what went into his food and the quality of the ingredients. During the summer I was able to find fresh fruit and veggies at the local farmers market and make all kinds of great food. Easy to use, easy to remove frozen cubes, easy to adjust his amount. Once the cubes were frozen I would pop out of the tray and place into a freezer bag and label. As he grew I would just give him an extra cube. I also liked the benefit that I could make a ton of food for only a few dollars. After the first few uses it payed for itself.
The only reason that I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is that it became stained easily. I tried to bleach it but the stain is still there. I know it is clean, but it still looks dirty.

Customer Review: Life-saver for twins!
Summary: 5 Stars

We could not live without these! We make food after our twins go to bed, about once a week to stock up for the week. I can't even imagine trying to cook a fresh, healthy meal between the time I get home at 5pm and their dinner time (5:30pm). I can barely move around the kitchen with them pulling at my knees. It works great for everything - stews, soups, baked veggies, fruits, etc. And we don't waste anything since you can adjust the portions to fit your exact needs. We cook with olive oil and so the trays get a nice oil coating that prevents sticking. But on the few occasions that the food sticks, you just soak the trays in about 1/2" warm water for 30 seconds and the food pops right out! I HIGHLY recommend these for parents who want to feed their kids fresh food.
