I bought the floppy seat after I saw my sister in law with one and thought it was the best thing in the world. At the time I was pregnant with my 3rd baby and my daughter was going to use it till the new baby needed it. My daughter was almost 2 at the time, so it was no problem putting it in the cart with her and her older brother standing next to me. But all that changed when my baby was old enough to sit in a cart. I had such a hard time putting the floppy seat into the cart with the baby in my arms, that I eventually waited for my husband to come home to go shopping so I didn't have to bring the kids. I came across the Buggy Bag and it was a life saver. You can put it in the cart and set it up with one hand. I recomend the floppy seat if you have older children who aren't going to run away while you set it up, but if you have little ones, the buggy bag is the way to go.Customer Review: Makes shopping with baby easier

The Floppy gave me piece of mind that my baby would not be in direct contact with germs and sticky surfaces on shopping carts and restaurant high chairs. It is very easy to use once you get the hang of it, esp how to convert it into a bag. The separate pocket to squoosh the seat into itself keeps YOU from having to touch the underside that is in contact with the dirty seat surface! My baby prefers being in the shopping cart seat as opposed to her stroller b/c of the height. She can see more and is less fussy. There is also a small side pocket in the actual seat part where you can stash a toy or pacifier - very convenient. The baby can remove or place the item into the pocket herself. The only con of having this product instead of just using a stroller while shopping is that you'll have an extra item to carry in your car at all times and yet another item to wash every so often.Customer Review: The best-kept secret of the baby industry!

I had to look long & hard to find the floppy seat! It is not widely sold in stores at the moment. I had to literally stop a woman in a grocery store to ask her where she got one and what it was called. We found a need for it once baby started sitting up and was outgrowing the infant carrier- but he was still too small to comfortably sit in shopping carts and restaurant high chairs. The seat offers a bit of cushion, safety (with the adjustible belt), and hygene, since it prevents baby from being able to lean forward and put her mouth all over the dirty shopping cart. It also has a handy pocket to put a bottle or some teether toys next to baby.I've been very happy with the floppy seat and we take it everywhere. I gave it only 4 stars, however, because it only comes in one fabric style and I believe it is a bit overpriced for such a low-tech, albeit innovative, item.

I was very excited to use this product. My 9 month old has been very sick and I was thinking this would be a way of cutting down on the amount of germs to which she is exposed. I am very careful about reading all directions and being cautious with everything she does. I read the directions and installed the Floppy Seat into the grocery cart. We were shopping and my daughter reached for a pear. I moved the cart just a touch away from the pear display and turned to respond to a question asked by a person next to me and I heard a thud and looked and my daughter was no longer in the cart, but lying on the ground. Luckily after an evaluation by the paramedics and a head CT, all she is left with is a large bruise on her face. I had a sense of security that was false and my small one paid the price. I purchased this for my 6 month old son when he outgrew the infant seat. First I would lay him down and he loved to look at the lights and things hanging from the ceilings in the stores. Now that he is older he sits up and we take it everywhere. I use it for the grocery carts and for all high chairs. I love the bag it goes into making it easy to carry. One day I was in a hurry - I was only going to grab one or two items - so I left the cover behind. THAT WAS A BIG MISTAKE. Because I didn't have the seat to keep my sons feet in the right place he somehow (mind you I had him strapped into the cart's seat belt) managed to get his food caught in between the bars of the cart. It took me and two other people to get him out. I learned a valuable lesson that day, even in a hurry, it is worth it to take the extra seconds to take the cover with me and keep him safe.
