My husband and I saw someone using this item one day while shopping. We asked where she got it and purchased it when we got home. It is one of the best purchases we have ever made!
We have a 7 month old son, and now that we have the Floppy, he can sit in the carts when we go shopping. He used to sit in the stroller. Our son loves to be "up high" and see everything that is going on around him.
Other advantages are: it can be used in restaurant high chairs and it is machine washable.
Only disadvantage is the leg holes are a little too big for our son. However, we figure as he grows, this won't be a problem. It is definitely worth the money!
Customer Review: You wouldn't buy a stroller without a 5 point harness, so why would you buy this?

I purchased this for my oldest dd before she was born. I used it a few times from 6 to 9 months until she was able to stand up, which she did. There is only a little lap belt, not a five point harness. She almost fell out. So I purchased a different car seat cover with a five point harness (Shop n Dine) that didn't neccesarily cover the whole seat (it covers a lot of it though, and it kept her in)
Then I tried the Floppy again with my second dd. AT 12 months she actually stood up and fell out of the shopping cart with Floppy in it. I pulled the belt as tight as I could and I was no more than two feet away. She needed a CT scan of her head at the hospital. I felt so guilty because I did not use the 5 point harness one.
Of course you should be germ phobic, but it is much more likely for a child of this age to get hurt or killed from a fall, than killed from a germ. I'm going with safety. I would never dream of purchasing a stroller without a 5 point harness, and that's much closer to the ground. Why put your kid up so high without being properly secured? The little lap belt will not keep active children in.
This would be perfect if it had a five point harness.

I agree...this is a must have. I bought mine about 5 years ago before Babies-R-us carried it. It was through a local kid store and I used to get stopped everywhere I went to find out where I got it. Now we are so lucky to be able to get this so easily. You can use this on all grocery carts, including costco, and I have even used it on the restaurant high chairs. Seems large but it works!! I will agree with another customer, it would be nice if they offered different patterns. I have the same animal print that is here and I got mine 5 years ago! I have used this for 2 children and it has held up well, a little fading but that is expected with cotton. Not one seam or buckle has come loose. All in all, I LOVE IT!!!

I bought this for my son who just turned 6 months old. I needed it because it's very hard to go grocery shopping by myself if he had to be in a stroller (where do I put the groceries?). So I read the reviews and bought this. I am so very pleased with it. It fits perfectly with most carts. The leg holes are slightly too big for other carts so my sons legs touch the cart. But considering the alternative if I didn't have it, I am just fine with this fact. My son doesn't have to touch any part of the cart with his hands.
It also has sawn on loops to hook toys on so the toys don't fall to the ground. Works great with links!
This seat cover also works for those wooden high chairs in most restaurants!

I am always sure to have this in my car - it's very versatile and can be used on grocery carts and restaurant high chairs - both very gross. One suggestion, before you get your baby out of the car seat or stroller, pull this cover out of it's sack - it'll make it much easier to fit with one hand.
I don't find the leg holes too big and my daughter is a very petit 15 Ib 10 month old.
I washed it once and it faded. Wasn't too impressed with that, which is why I gave it 4 stars, but it's usefulness outweighs it's look. Also the pattern hides food marks etc until you can wash it. I can use this up to 4 or 5 times a day if I'm out and about.
