Baby Products Reviews of Floppy Seat Shopping Cart CoverCustomer Review: Works as advertized, but is this really a good idea? Summary: 1 StarsOf course children should be protected from dirt and grime, but this is just overprotection. My daughter has, despite a watchful eye, managed to lick shopping cart handles, put lint in her mouth, eat leaves and various other things. None of these incidents have caused any ill effects. She is rarely sick and I think that is partly because she HAS been exposed to bacteria.
The current trend in overprotection from germs and antibacterial soap mania can ultimately be harmful to children. Some exposure to germs is a good thing, as it builds up their immune systems. Antibacterial soaps simply encourage the bacteria to mutate into resistant strains, and then what will we do?
Let the kids become dirty now and then. It's part of being kids. Exploring the world and getting [...]all over yourself is part of a child's development process. Just make sure their hands are washed before meals and clean them up every so often.
Or are you telling you never came home with scuffed knees, bruises and covered in mud when you were a kid? Remember how much fun that was?
Customer Review: Great cushion Summary: 4 StarsReally easy to clean, and fits to all carts we've used. Protects Baby Delia from bumping her head hard, and keeps her from getting cut on some of the small edges that some carts have. Don't care for the strap design. However, overall, I recommend every parent should have one.
Customer Review: I can go grocery shopping now! Summary: 4 StarsId give this a 5 star rating but its not as easy to take out of its bag as it says it is. Maybe Im still a green new mom, but one handed was difficult!
I usually hate shopping with my baby because I feel so rushed. I usually have to have my husband come with me to hold her (so Im definately rushed, as he hates shopping) or wear her in my Bjorn (which rushes me because she's so heavy it hurts my back). Usually she'll get fussy either way, but the day I got the Floppy, was my best shopping day yet! I got brave and decided to run some errands at Walmart. I tossed the Floppy onto the cart and put my baby girl inside it and she immediately started smiling. She's only 6 months and still a bit wobbly sitting up on her own, but the Floppy is so cushy, that it helps support her really well. I hooked on some links onto a loop that I noticed on the Floppy and she was totally content from that moment on. She stared at the designs and played the whole time.
Whew! Thank goodness! I was able to get a whole hour of shopping done and she didnt fuss one bit. Plus my hubby didnt have to tag along and I didnt have to strain my back. Love it!
Customer Review: Happy baby Summary: 5 StarsWe love this product. My baby is sitting up mostly with support! I put her in this and she loves it and it makes shopping easier it protects her from the bars since they are hard and protects her from the germs. I can attach her toys to it and put my keys or pacifer in the pockets on the side. Love it!
Customer Review: Love It Summary: 5 StarsMy daughter received this as a Christmas gift, and we love it. I just put her in the shopping cart seat for the 1st time last week, and sure enough her mouth went right for the handle. Luckily I had the Floppy Seat cover on it. She is 7 months old and loves the bright colors and the toys we hook onto the loops. It also fits over a wide variety of public highchairs as well.
