Baby Products Reviews of Fisher-Price Space Saver High Chair - TanCustomer Review: Comfortable and Convenient Summary: 5 Stars
We're thrilled with this high chair. After comparing many brands and expecting to buy a traditional, free standing high chair, we settled on this one as we thought it would be convenient to just use a dining room table chair. We couldn't be happier.
One unexpected convenience that has proven great for us - you can set the "high" chair directly on the floor. We often lounge around or even eat in our family room and it's nice and easy to have our son set up on the floor next to us. Our son finds the chair very comfortable and is happy to sit in the chair longer than it takes to feed him. The chair is easy to clean and adjust and is as portable as a high chair could be in practice. Highly recommended.
Customer Review: Love this Chair but order Extra Tray(s) Summary: 4 Stars
Really great chair. Does not take up much room, and the muted color does not scream UGLY BABY CHAIR. Blends in well with our kitchen area.
Took one star off b/c of the tray. They should have made a pop-out feeding tray. I can get the tray in my dishwasher, but it is HUGE and takes up so much space. (I hate to wash dishes, especially grimy baby stuff). A pop out liner (or multiples) would have been better. Also, after 18 months of use, the original tray is no longer catching correctly. But the good news is that for around $12.00 shipped I got TWO replacement trays from the Fisher Price online parts store. Very reasonably priced. I put one in the dishwasher, while the other one is being used.
Customer Review: Great for smaller dining rooms Summary: 4 Stars
If your infant likes to feel like a part of the family at meal-time, this did the trick for our baby. We also have a fairly small house and small dining room so this works really well for us. Although it attaches to your own dining room chair, you still feel your infant is safe and secure. It's comfortable and easy to clean. I like that it can recline as well because this allowed us to use it when baby wasn't quite ready to sit up on his own yet. The only thing I don't like is the fact that the arms of the chair do not allow you to scoot baby up to your own dining room table when the tray is removed. This will be a problem when our baby gets older and we want to use the chair as more of a booster seat.
Customer Review: Smart Purchase Summary: 5 Stars
I live in a very small apartment in New York city and as any New Yorker can tell you, space is at a premium. This chair is fantastic as it attaches to your own dining chair therefore you add no additional furniture to your home. It looks good and seems very safe. It is very secure once attached properly to the chair. My daughter is a master escape artist at 8 months and she can't even manage to squirm her way out or knock this thing over. I highly recommend to anyone but especially to those looking to save space. This product is true to it's name. The only con is that the tray doesn't fit in my dishwasher. That may not be true of all dishwashers though so don't let it deter you from purchasing.
Customer Review: Almost perfect.... Summary: 4 Stars
This is a great chair if you want to save space. We used it at our wood dining room table for my toddler between 6-20 months. I like that the color is gender-neutral, chair is relatively easy to clean, and feels secure in attaching to the dining room chair. I do recommend putting a towel under the chair to prevent marks and prevent stains.
My only wish is that they make the arms on the chair adjustable. This would help with the two issues I had: the tray seemed high on my 6 month old, and I couldn't get the chair super close to the table (when we wanted him to be closer to the table without the tray) because the arms were the wrong height for my dining room table (standard height).
