This monitor set worked great for us, even in a 2-story home. It doesn't pick up once you step outside if the baby is upstairs, but I didn't really expect it to. The problem is that it goes through 9volt batteries like crazy! I used it at night and for one nap over a one week span and the batteries went dead in one receiver. I started using the other receiver until I could get more batteries and it died after two nights! My husband said it's because I left it on all night, but isn't that what it's for???Customer Review: Stock up on batteries now!

Because this is our first baby, we hadn't had experience with any other monitors, so we decided to try this one because of the other good reviews & the GREAT PRICE. I honestly don't know what we would do without it now! Our little one is now 8 months old, and we continue to use it every night. We can hear every coo & sigh (which helps us rest easier), and we have only had a couple of instances where there was some mild static interference. Otherwise, clear as a bell! We broke our last monitor, went looking for the least expensive one and ended up with this. The sound quality is awful. The base unit sits over my son's bed, but it still sounds like he's in a tunnel. Second, it does not have rechargeable batteries and eats up 9 volt batteries like nobody's business. This one's cheap (until you add the cost of batteries), and you'll certainly get what you pay for! My advice: Spend a little more and make sure it uses rechargeable batteries.Customer Review: Wonderful Monitor!!

I bought this monitor so that I could go swimming in our backyard, yet still hear my daughter if she woke up. We bought this monitor because of the price. We weren't looking for something hi-tech, just whatever we could afford. This monitor works so well, I am amazed! From outside, I can hear the tiny little clicks of her swing. I can hear every little grunt and groan that she makes while she sleeps. It's so clear! I recommend this monitor to everyone!
