WELL, I RESEARCHED A LOT OF DIFFERENT MONITORS BEFORE I CHOSE THIS ONE. THIS ONE WAS MY SECOND CHOICE, MY FIRST WAS THE SOOTHING DREAMS(BUT IT WAS TOO EXPENSIVE.) AT FIRST THIS MONITOR WORKED EXCELLENT, UNTILL I HAD TO USE IT IN THE BASEMENT OF MY HOME. IT HAS A SLIGHT STACIC NOISE TO IT WHEN USED IN MY BASEMENT, WHERE MY BEDROOM HAPPENS TO BE. SO AT NIGHT I HAVE TO SLEEP WITH THIS NOISE. ALSO THE FIRST NIGHT I USED IT I RELIED ON THE BATTERIES AND DIDNT PLUG IT IN, AND THE RECIEVER DIED, THIS HAPPENED A FEW TIMES. THIS MONITOR EATS UP BATTERIES LIKE CRAZY, IT HAS TO ALWAYS BE PLUGED IN. I SHOULD OF JUST SPENT THE EXTRA MONEY AND GOT THE SOOTHING DREAMS. THIS MONITOR HOWEVER DOES WORK WELL AS LONG AS ITS NOT IN THE BASEMENT AND IS PLUGGED IN.Customer Review: Great monitor and Great price!

I personally love this. Very little static at all and has a decent enough range for me to do the things that I need to do away from her. Best of all, this thing picks up EVERYTHING. Baby hardly needs to make a sound and this little gadget will pick it up, which gives me peace of mind when I can't be right there next to her and want to make sure I dont miss a THING(accidents only take a second). I feel secure using this monitor to listen to my baby while away. I haven't had any real static problems as long as I follow the very easy to understand directions. Anytime I pick up alot of static all I have to do is change channels and it's fine. Simple to operate as well. Allover I'd recommend it, especially if your on a budget.Customer Review: The best monitor ever!

I bought and returned almost every monitor in the store. After the second or third time of returning I was going to give up but decided to buy the two that were rated the higest on this site. This one and the First Years Crisp N' Clear. I found that the Crisp and Clear to have just as much static as the other models. I was told that the reason that Fisher Price Sounds N' Lights is so clear (I do not get any static) is because it is less than 900mhz so you are not on the busy cordless and cell phone and radio frequencies. It is too low to pick up anything but your baby -- I was suprised that it also picked up my baby breathing from the other side of the house. It is a bonus that the best is also the cheapest!Customer Review: Horrible product

We bought this monitor and it is absolutely lousy. When we use it with the receivers plugged in instead of battery use, they make this awful loud humn noise that gives you a headache and makes you feel like your sitting under a high tension wire. We know it's not just our house causing it - because friends that have the same monitor complained about the same noise with theirs that they bought around the same time as us. When we use it with battery power alone, the life of the battery wears out in just like 5 nights of using it - and this is just using it when the baby goes to bed until we go to bed. I find it totally unacceptable and will be looking for a different monitor.Customer Review: Great buy!

I absolutely disagree with all the bad reviews. I had a Graco 900mhz monitor that I returned and got this one due to the good reviews it had at the time. Now I see all the bad ones, but fortunately I can disagree. When the volume is high I can even hear the clock in my son't room tick. There has never been any static in the 6 months that I have used this monitor. I have to admit that I haven't used it with batteries, so can't comment on that part - I probably will never use it with batteries. I am very glad I exchanged my other monitor and got this one. I strongly recommend you try this one. For the price you can't go wrong. If it doesn't work take it back then.
