Baby Products Reviews of Fisher-Price Soothing Motions Glider - Butter BunnyCustomer Review: great idea, but... Summary: 2 Stars
What a great idea for a product! My son LOVES this glider, but after use the cloth has stretched out, allowing the fabric pocket at the bottom of the product to slip off of the bar. My son could have slipped through and been seriously injured by this product. I did contact the company, who claimed the product was not defective and offered me the option of purchasing a replacement cover for an additional cost. I was hoping the company would be a little more concerned about a potential problem with their product, so it loses stars based on entrapment risk and company customer service (or lack thereof).
Customer Review: Too slow to sooth baby Summary: 2 Stars
This product is not versatile nor effective enough for me to recommend it. We got it as a gift and I tried using it every day for about two weeks and my baby would just look at me thinking "are you crazy mom!? there is NO way I will sit still in this!" She would just squirm around trying to get out. It is much too slow to do anything for a baby and is bulky and ugly and heavy as well! I got a lot more use out of the Baby Bjorn Sitter which is a little more money but my baby likes it, sits in it for at least 10 minutes (that is a lot for her!) and it folds flat and does not require batteries.
Customer Review: Wonderful Summary: 5 Stars
Move over swing and bouncy, here is the glider. I love it. It's light weight and very portable in the house, for me, and it's perfect for new babies. My son is very little and so he slouches in everything. The glider keeps him cradled nicely and is very safe with it's rythmic motions and sturdy base. Also, it has done well with the batteries. I haven't had to change them yet and I use the glider's power accessorites alot. Although I don't forsee using it when he gets bigger and wiggly, but for now he is quite content in it. I truely couldn't get a decent shower without it.
Customer Review: Great for naps and cranky babies! Summary: 5 Stars
My son would not sleep in his crib or pack and play due to gas/reflux. This glider was such a lifesaver. It's just enough of an angle to relieve his reflux and it keeps him nice and cozy so he will always sleep in it. The noise factor is there if you're trying to sleep in the same room, but during the day it is not distracting at all and never bothers my son. I took the mobiles off as I really used it as a little cot for him.
If you are looking to add some extra time to your little one's naps - look no further!! I am hoping that he won't grow out of it anytime soon!
Customer Review: MUST have for Reflux Babies Summary: 5 Stars
My daughter had terrible reflux and wouldn't sleep in anything else for the first 6 1/2 months of her life! Most reflux babies hate lying flat on their back b/c it hurts. This was the perfect incline and it was so warm and snuggly for her! She truly loved it! And I loved it b/c she slept better in this than anywhere else. I have read the other reviews about the motor being loud, but truly everyone is different in their tolerance. It really didn't bother me and honestly...it's not THAT loud! I think it's worth it if my child is happy.....price or noise!!!! Who cares!
