This is such a great rocker! I will agree that it is heavy and awkward to move but we dont ever move it so its not a problem. It has lived in our bathroom for 6 months and I use it to put the baby in when I am showering. It is the only time of day I am guaranteed uninterupted peace. He still falls asleep in it at 6 months! I am heartbroken that he is about to outgrow it! The batteries lasted until about a week ago (so six months) which was nice. My son was born 7 weeks early and after his first week at home he had really bad allergies and could not lay flat because he was so congested. This rocker was a life saver during those times because it elevated him enough so that he could breathe better and both of us could get more sleep. I got this as a gift so I dont think I would have thought to purchase it on my own but now that I know how wonderful it is I would definitely consider it a must-have.Customer Review: NOT JUST GREAT FOR INFANTS!!!

My daughter who is now 14 months old used this glider when she was in the hospital. She was a patent for 10 weeks because of a genetic disorder that causes server reflux, seizures, failure to thrive and developmental delays amongst other things. She had surgery when she was about 12 weeks old and needed to be at an incline day and night. The hospital provided this glider for her to use during her stay. She "LOVED" it.
I'm expecting again and decided that I would purchase this glider for this baby. When I got home with it my daughter seen it and got all excited (like she remembered it). As soon as it was put together she hopped right in it with all smiles. For now until her brother arrives she will be using it. She weights almost 20lbs and still the motion works like it did when she was only 9lbs. If she could rate this thing I feel. She would give it a 10!!! LOVE IT!!

My son has reflux and by 7 weeks refused to sleep lying down. The only thing he would sleep in was his car seat or papasan swing. I bought this because it looked like it might be comfy for him and keep him upright. WOW. He slept 6 hours straight the first night I put him in it. He is now 4 months old and still in it. He sleeps all night and takes most of his naps in it. Also... I never use the glider feature or music. Since he has grown, I removed the infant head rest. I removed the mattress from his crib and set this thing in the crib. It works great and I swear he looks excited when I go to put him in it. He snuggles all into it and off to sleep he goes. It's hilarious. I dread the day I finally put him on a mattress because I know he probably wont sleep as well as he does in this thing. For me, this was a life saver. If only they made one in a grown up size.Customer Review: Very - very good product. Buy it!

We got this product for our baby shower and used it from our baby's birth till he was 5 months old and started trying to get out of it.
I was at first concerned that it is so primitive, just gliding back and forth and it does not have vibration, but our baby never liked vibration and he would fall asleep in the glider and stay there for long-long time.
We absolutely love it! The batteries it came with lasted all 5 months and sometimes our baby was in the glider for several hours a day. It is a great advantage that it does not need to be plugged in the wall so you can move it to whatever room you want.
I only give it 4 stars because the safety belt got small for our son very soon and we stopped using it. Not a problem for us, but some people may want to know about it.

The motion glider I have is a hand me down from my sister who swore it was her saving grace for her second daughter who had reflux. Because the chair is bent upright, it is a great place for newborns who have reflux to sleep. We've been using it since day one for our four month old son and he loves it. In the beginning we did use it primarily for him to sleep since he did have a little reflux and slept better being slightly upright. Now he likes to sit in it and play with the toys on the toy bar. We've added a few more toys for him to bat around. It is great to have around the house because it is an easy and safe place to put baby down for a few minutes and usually it will keep him distracted. If my sister hadn't given the motion glider to us, I would have bought one in a heartbeat.
