My son is 5 mos old and he loves this soother. This is by far the best soother I have seen. Everything moves and lights up and the little fish has bubbles. Would recommend this product. Customer Review: Good old Fisher Price to the rescue once again!!!!!

I bought this as a gift for my 8 week old grandson who is a preemie and still in NICU. His parents had requested a toy that lights up and plays music. I found the Rainforest Peek-A-Boo Waterfall Soother. It was a big sucess with the baby and even with the nurses. The lights and music catch the babies attention and give him something to focus on. I like the water (bubbling) sounds. Great toy.. The only thing I would change is to make it play a little longer before turning off and possibly including a remote. I have both this product and the Fisher-Price Aquarium, which overall has received worse reviews. I actually like the aquarium better, mostly because the light is not blinding. I turned on the blue light in a dark room last night and was, as the famous song goes, "blinded by the light". My 5 month old was squinting and turned away as she too was startled.
However, I do agree with the reviewers who said that the music quality, visuals, etc. are wonderful, which is why I gave it 3 stars.
I don't know whether this will work for us as a soother though because if and when my baby learns to turn it on by herself in the middle of the night (as my son has done with the aquarium), I worry that it will cause her to awaken and startle her b/c of the brightness of the light (and I really want to use the light option and not just the music).

This is a great soother. My complaints would be:
1. straps are hard to get on convertible crib
2. needs a longer timer
3. on the "moving" feature the monkey seems to squeak after the first week
However, I would still buy it knowing all this because it really seems to calm our 5 week old daughter down. I think this will be something we get lots of use out of!
