I absolutely love the different speeds of this swing and the different sounds of nature that this swing provides; it also has one or two of the standard baby nursery sounds...
My grand daughter also seems to be fascinated with the leaves and animals that move in a circle above her head as the sound of the rainforest and motion of swing help her go to sleep everytime that is truly a plus for me when I have to babysit.
I thought the swing had broke but there is a reset button on the swing that needs to be pressed from time to time nothing major...
I also like the fact that you can use batteries or use the ac adapater...
It also folds easily if you need to take the swing to another room which is great...
The bottom line is this is a great product and I see swings have come along way from cranking a handle every 15 minutes or was that 10 minutes...

An hour after receiving we installed. The music worked, was very soothing, the colorful mobile leaves went up and down. However, the swing did nothing. We assumed it needed a push start, nothing. We switched outlets, used batteries, all ending in the same result. Naturally, I was upset. Immediately I called the customer service line on the back of the manual, they asked for the info on the warranty card, then informed me that they would send out a brand new motor, which included the mobile and toys. I was SO RELIEVED! I did not have to pack the whole thing up again and return it. She also informed me that because I had provided her with the warranty card info, my product was registered under it's one year warranty, and I would not need to send in the card. The representative on the phone was very nice, and professional. I am an extremely happy momma! Everything by Fisher Price is craptastic. This swing in no exception.
Despite the cheap materials (plastic and polyester) we expected the motor to work.
I tried the swing with an 8 pound weight and it worked weakly. Ahen with a 16 pound weight and the swing barely budged.
I phoned Fisher Price. They told me if the product is in warranty, they can send a motor. If not, I will have to pay $50 for one.
I have combed through so many swing reviews on Amazon. Crappy motors are very typical of Fisher Price. Some people have gone through 3 or 4 motors in a year.
How many of these throwaways end up in landfills every year? Makes me think they make these lousy on purpose. So you can never actually use a swing with more than one kid.
This swing is crap and it is going back.

Our first son had the Aquarium swing and loved it! I was hoping to get another one for our second son, but my husband came home with this Rainforest swing. At first, I didn't think my son would like it because it didn't have the glowing light ball from the Aquarium swing, but my son loves it! He is 4 months old now and is still captivated by the swing!
We did have the crooked seat problem, but re-read the directions and the seat was fixed. The motor on this swing is great! Even on the slowest setting the swing is excellent. This swing is meant to be soothing, not an amusement ride. And, the A/C adapter is great! No more batteries to change!
Overall, this is a great swing! I would have given it 5 stars, but the lowest sound level for the music is still a bit loud. Everything else is great! Just be sure to read the set up directions carefully!

My daughter hated the front-to-back swing we originally purchased and would scream within a minute of putting her in it. I bought this swing after hearing some babies prefer the side-to-side motion of the cradle swing, and hoping for a miracle. Well it works! It definitely calms her down and she loves looking at the mobile.
PROS: Can be used as cradle or regular swing as the seat swivels. Great songs that won't drive mom & dad nuts! Can be plugged into wall or runs off batteries. Goes together fairly easily and quickly.
CONS: Takes up a lot of room. The mobile on mine is messed up. It clicks and struggles to turn. It could've been something I did when putting it together. Only good until baby is 20 lbs. but hopefully by then you won't need the swing anymore.
I'd recommend this swing before any other. It just offers so many options.
