I received this gym at my baby shower, so my baby (who is 7 months old now) has been playing with it for awhile now. He really likes it and it has been something he has played with in a lot of different ways as he has developed. He started out laying on his back and just watching the lights. It was also good for tummy time (which he tended to hate in general) because it gave him something to look at as he laid on his stomach. Now, he sits up and plays with the toys that hang from the gym. He also uses the bars to support himself as he practices standing up (with me sitting right behind him in case he decides to let go). The one negative about it is that the music is really fast, it's the typical cute baby songs (Animal Fair, Pop Goes the Weasel, etc.) but at warp speed, which is a little weird. when the ad described "spinning butterflies" i thought that this was an electonic mobile...but i was disappointed to find out that you have to manually spin the butterflies yourself. I wish there were more of a music variety, as it gets old fast to hear the same tunes over and over. Overall its an "okay" activity gym, though I'm glad that I only paid $43 use for it on Amazon...I really couldn't see myself paying $75 for something like this. I feel that there should have been more toy attachments as there are only 3 + the mirror, and there are tons more places to add toy attachments, but that means more money. I also agree with someone elses comment below, the giraffe holding the mirror, the mirror is facing the opposite direction so it would be quite a challenge for my (or any!) baby to actually be able to see themselves in it.Customer Review: The best!

My daughter has been using this mat since she was 2 months old. She loves it! She still uses it and she is 9 months. Some reviews are saying it is cheap and not good quality, but she has used it everyday for 7 months and I have no problems with it. You can add your own toys to it, or you can take the toys it comes with down to go with you to town. The little animals are the cutest and my daughter seems to love them too. She was instantly drawn to the monkey and the bird. She is now not as interested in them, (probably gets bored with the same toys everyday) but I am able to add new toys to the hangers. So nice that you can take toys down and add different ones as kids get bores SO easily! I take the legs off and throw the mat in the washing machine and it's held up remarkably. This mat is not cheap it is definatley worth it!Customer Review: Love It!

Our daughter is two months old and just had her first "play date". Her little friend had this playmat, and she enjoyed it so much that we wanted to get her a play mat also. First, I wasted my money on the Fisher Price Precious Planet Playmat at Wal-Mart. Not very exciting, and the only sound it made was a monkey toy that is only activated when you spin it, and very difficult for even an adult to spin, let alone a baby. For $20 more, I went to amazon.com and bought this play mat. She absolutely loves the lights, music, and toys. On her first try, she found the little elephant rattle with her feet and kicks it the whole 20 minutes that the music and lights play. It makes her smile, and makes me smile watching her have so much fun. I definitely recommend this play mat-spend a little more for this high quality, fun toy!Customer Review: A MUST HAVE!!

My daughter started using her play mat around 2 months and is almost 6 months and uses it daily still. She absolutely loves it! She really loves all the toys, music, lights, crinkly leaf... everything! I love it because it is very stimulating and holds her attention. We have used this almost every day and I have yet to change the batteries. I like that it has two settings, one that plays the music for a while and one that plays the music when it senses motion (baby pulling on toys or kicking the bars). That's a really neat feature, especially when baby starts to get a little older. It's also great for tummy time. They toys can be hooked to the rings on the mat and it's still very entertaining. It helps that the mat is so colorful with things to pull on and the crinkle-leaf. This product is a MUST HAVE for us!
