Baby Products Reviews of Fisher-Price Rainforest Jumperoo

Customer Review: Jumperoo
Summary: 5 Stars

This is the greatest product that you can buy for your grand child, grandma and grandpa. You will not regret it for a minute. Your Itty Bitty will love it and so will mom and dad. This is our first grandchild and of course we wanted the best toy and most entertaining for him. One day we were at the toy store and looking at them and baby was not in the mood to shop any more. We looked at all of them and the Rainforest was on a shelf, so we tried him in it at 3 mos and he loved the colors and the noise and we bounced him in it and he laughed and we laughed with him. We thought about letting him stay in it while we shopped since he was having so much fun. There is so much to keep the baby occupied and happy. The music is not annoying, which is good because when he plays in it he acts like he is on a trampoline. He jumps constantly in it and believe me he is putting it to the test! He has even been know to take a short nap in it. He is now 6 mos and enjoys it even more since he understands all the toys and how to turn around and jump like there is no tomorrow. I bought a cheaper version for our house and he does not like it, so the Rainforest travels between the 2 houses. It is very easy to take a part and travel with it. You will not regret the investment at all.

Customer Review: Good for 15 minutes
Summary: 2 Stars

Well as the title states my son likes this for about 15 minutes and then screams to get out! He'd rather be on the floor. It's great if I have to do something really quickly and don't want him getting into something. The toys are okay but he really doesn't care for them unless we play with them too. I don't know if it's his age or what but we got it for him at 4 months because he could hold his head up very well and he's now 6 months old. Maybe when he gets a little older he'll like it more we'll have to wait and see. Although I think this is the best jumper out there, it's not something that I would buy again knowing now how my son doesn't really care for it. And it's really a pain to try to get his legs in the two little holes maybe that's just a "mother malfunction" but I haven't figured out a good and easy way to get him in it. If he moves his legs while I'm putting him in they often get stuck in the middle of the seat portion then I have to try to lift him one handed while fishing out one of his legs from the bottom to get it in the right hole. It's happened more than once and I just think "You have to be kidding me!" Another little annoyance is that it seems to be statically charged because all the dog hair in our house seems to end up on it or around it.

Customer Review: Should come with an Addiction warning.

We received this Jumperoo for our 4 mo old this Christmas from my Sister and Brother in Law, the inimitable Uncle Peter & Aunt Kate-the-Great. I'm not certain that there are words in the English language that adequately describe what a HIT this has been. The learning curve lasted around 30 minutes, but the enthusiasm goes for hours. I cannot convey the surprise with which my husband and I watched our child go from toes sorta touching the floor and curious interest in the toy tray to full on hard bouncing and complete toy tray interaction. After a siginicantly longer time than any of us thought possible, baby was finially tired. What followed was a nap of length and quailty that
I didn't believe the child capable of. When he awoke, he wanted more, actively reaching and leaning toward it enthusiasticly.
They are evidently fairly straight forward to assemble as Kate pulled it off while blind tired. They are also fairly rugged and hold the child comfortably and securely. The only down side that I can see at this point is that the Jumperoo is such a hard act to follow that it pretty much sucks the value out of all other toys. My family is happy to give our unreserved recommendation this toy. If you have a baby, GET ONE OF THESE - run don't walk.

Customer Review: good product
Summary: 4 Stars

My daughter enjoys playing in her new jumperoo but only for about 20 mins at a time. She really loves jumping around in it but she seems to get upset when the sound is turned on...it was ok for the first few minutes but then I think it got old fast so she plays in it longer more happily without any sound. The only negatives I have are with the instructions and "1,2,3" label for the height adjustment. The instructions were decent but I found the explaination for putting the seat cover together a bit confusing so I just did it the way I thought was correct and it turned out exactly like the picture said it should. All other instructions were good, putting it together was very simple. The height adjustment tabs were mislabled, where the "1" should be was blank and "1" was at the second tab and "2,3" were on the third tab which is the same length. Not a big deal as we could easily figure it out just an FYI in case anyone else comes across the same thing. One thing in particular I loved about this jumperoo was how the seat swivels, this way I dont have to move the entire product just to change her view so she doesn't get bored too fast! All in all a great product in my opinion! I would definetly recommend this to anyone with an active baby.

Customer Review: GREAT FOR A TALL BABY!!
Summary: 5 Stars

Our 4 1/2 month daughter is 29 inches long. If you have a tall baby, you may have discovered that a lot of baby products don't accomodate to them well. This jumper however, is the perfect fit! We have it on position 2, which means that she still has room to grow. The bucket seat is deep enough that it reaches just below her armpits, as it's designed to fit. Other models, such as the baby einstein jumper (our friend has one) only reaches her waist, meaning that a tall baby has little support & can easily bang their head, or flop too much inside the seat.
When the jumperoo arrived, our daughter scooted to the box & tried getting the toys while I put it together. There's also all kinds of entertainment & stimulation for a baby. Every toy gets played with. I'd like to note that the dragonfly toy is floppy. On the box & the product images, it's standing straight up. It's supposed to be floppy so that you baby can hold on to & bite. Great for little teethers!
This jumperoo was VERY easy to assemble. We had the deluxe jumperoo for our now 5 year old daughter & it stored much easier. Ths doesn't fold well for storage, but that is greatly outweighed by all the positives & our happy baby!! Definitely worth buying!!
