Baby Products Reviews of Fisher-Price Rainforest Jumperoo

Customer Review: Keeps Baby Entertained!
Summary: 4 Stars

I always read a lot of reviews and compare many products before purchasing, so of course I did the same before I bought this item. Very easy to put together! It only took my husband about ten minutes to figure it all out. I bought this when my baby girl was 4 months old and she loved it right away. It is brightly colored with many different play areas to keep baby entertained, and she loved figuring out that the seat goes in a complete circle with different things to do along the way. She also loves to look up to see the birds that hang overhead! All of the pieces seem to be well made and I haven't had any issues in the 2 months I have owned it. My daughter uses it several times daily and it will usually hold her attention for 15 minutes at a time.

The only complaint I have, which is why I gave it 4 stars and not 5, is that it does have 3 adjustment levels for height but her feet still cannot touch the ground. I put the Bumbo underneath it so she can jump and move around and that works well. She is 6 months old now and is close to touching the ground, and she is average height for a baby her age. It also folds up enough to travel or just to move out of the way when not in use.

All in all, a great product. I am glad I purchased it and am sure I will get tons of use out of it with future kids.

Customer Review: #1 Best Purchase Hands-Down!
Summary: 5 Stars

There aren't enough positive adjectives in my vocabulary to describe this item. My Dad bought this item for his first Grandchild - my son - and let me tell you - my son LOVES THIS. He has been jumping around in this little nugget since he was about 4 months old - he in now almost 7 months old and STILL loves it - DAILY. It completely fulfills his non-stop desire to stretch and exercise his legs. In addition, he is upright, has a 360-degree view (it spins around) and there's a different interactive toy at every angle. I can hear him laughing from any room in the house - laughing AT something on or dangling from the Jumperoo. He bounces and bounces - and the music that goes along with it is completely un-intrusive. In addition, I having torn down this toy many times (we take it everywhere with us he loves it so much) - I've also already adjusted it (there are 3 'height' levels as your baby grows) - the Jumperoo is a snap to break down and re-assemble. I can do it in about 3 minutes. The seat cover comes off and is easily washable - my son drools all over it - I then peel it off, wash it and it's back to 100%. Sincerely - I cannot recommend this item enough. I wish I had the option to select 100 stars. I would pay ANY PRICE for this item - now knowing the joy and fun it has brought (AND STILL BRINGS) to my son.

Customer Review: Love it! Such a fun infant toy, and exercise too
Summary: 5 Stars

My four-month-old son loves this. LOVES it! It took him about a day to figure out that he can bounce in it, and now he loves rocking side to side as well as up and down. The toys are all fun for him, he absolutely is fascinated by the spinning wheel and grabbing at the animals on the toy bar. The seat rotates so there's always something new to play with, and he's constantly stimulated by the bright colors and music. He's still a bit too short to reach the floor, but with a pillow under his feet he does just fine.

There are exersaucers at daycare, which he likes, but nothing compares to his excitement with the jumperoo. Assembly was a little complicated, but the directions are easy to understand, and there are several height adjustments, so I anticipate he'll be in it for a while yet. It wouldn't be appropriate for a younger baby that can't hold up their torso, but they don't need to be "sitters" yet to enjoy this.

The only drawbacks are that it does take up a lot of floor space, it is difficult to move once it's put together (the bottom ring is very floppy when you pick it up, and the support posts detach easily if you lift up on them), and the music is pretty darn annoying (even by infant-toy standards). But overall, he has so much fun in it, so I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Customer Review: Jumper is huge and takes up a lot of floor space even when folded.
Summary: 3 Stars

I bought this for my daughter when she was 4 months old. She was barely able to touch the ground, did not have good use of her hands yet either, she did not care for it. I reintroduced it to her now that she is 6 months old and she plays in it for about 15 minutes at the longest.

Pros:
Good exercise for the legs.
Keeps baby upright and off head.
Has lots of fun toys to play with. Baby can explore and use hands.
Motion activated music keeps baby engaged in the activity.

Cons:
This thing is huge. Takes up a lot of floor space.
When folded inward is still huge and takes up lots of room in the closet.
Music is kind of loud and irritating after awhile.

Note: Your baby needs to be supervised when playing in this jumper. Do not leave baby in there too long. This jumper is very uncomfortable for the baby when they wet their diaper. Found this out when daddy was looking after baby and he fell asleep watching her (I was in the shower). My baby must have been crying for 5 minutes when I heard her crying. She was very angry at her dad for at least an hour afterward. So I know she did not feel good sitting in there that long and unattended to. The seat is very uncomfortable on the baby's bottom after awhile as well.

Customer Review: This thing is fantastic

We bought the jumparoo when my son was 4 months old. He was not a big fan of tummy time yet and had grown bored with his swing. I was hesitant about the cost thinking that I was wasting money on something he would never use. My son is now almost 11 months old and if this dang thing were 500 dollars it would have been worth it. I am not the type to write customer reviews but this thing changed our world. He uses it every day and we can put him in it to play and actually do some things around the house. When we go on trips, you can tell that he misses his jumping time. His legs are very strong now, which will be great for football :) . He is trying to walk on his own now and I think the jumparoo has been a big help in that. It is a large toy and you need some space to set it up, but it is a lot sturdier then the over the door kind (which we tried later on for trips, but didn't work out for us). I can't tell you how highly I recommend this product.

As a new father I had to work from home some to help out with the baby and this thing really helped with that. I can get my son to jump in it for almost an hour at a time while I get a bit of work done. When he gets too big for it I plan to put it away for our next baby, I am not sure I will EVER sell it...
