Customer Review: Amazing product, so much fun for babies.

We received this as a shower gift, and it was one of the best items that gets a lot of use now! I am keeping this for all my kiddies that is for sure. My son is a big guy and loves alot of active play. This thing is perfect for him, we put him in it when he was only 2 months old and at the time, he would just hang on it and touch the toys. He would be okay in it for only about 5-10 minutes, and we figured this was one of those silly toys that wasn't going to get much use. WRONG! COME THE 3-4 months and he loves it! Now at 5 months he loves it so much, it is part of his twice a day physical play routine! Once in the morning while I make him some food, and once in the evening a bit before bedtime to ware him out. Which it definitely does. After a good 15 minutes in this thing he is ready to sleep through the night! He jumps and plays with the toys so much getting so excited it is so fun to see. I know friends that purchase other comparable jumpers and they are either too high to the ground, all in one color which is not beneficial for their development, or too low to the ground. This has the best blend of everything! It is the perfect height from level 1 to 3, the music is fun NOT annoying, the spinning toys are very interesting to him. The other reviewer mentioned the peekaboo tiger and spinning wheel are useless... I agree, they seem like an after thought but the rest of the toys on it are so much fun! I purchased this Jumperoo after much research. This jumperoo is an absolute must buy. I rely heavily on "real people" reviews because a manufacturer is trying to sell you the product; an actual consumer will give you the realities of it. I read reviews from BabiesRUs and was sold on the fact that the majority of the pictures had babies falling asleep in the Jumperoo! This offers a true baby workout! We got our fallen asleep picture the same day we received it. (Ahhh...)
This Jumperoo strengthens baby's legs, entertains him, offers you hands free time which also encourages his independance, will get him to walk sooner (if you want that), teaches him to rotate as the seat has a 360* turning diameter, has different toys at every turn to keep him stimulated (not bored-more hands free time for you) is cute and coordinates with the rest of our rainforest theme for his toys. Amazon has the best deal for purchasing this Jumperoo.
Don't dely in purchasing it as I did. You will benefit from this "toy" as soon as your baby can hold his head by himself for extended periods of time. We also used this opportunity to get him used to wearing tennis shoes (he has small feet and we couldn't find shoes that fit him).
This is our favorite product from the Fisher Price Rainforest line. Even if it doesn't match your theme, you should have this Jumperoo for your little one. :)

We really wanted something that our active baby could enjoy. He did like being in the exersaucer, but it wasn't as stimulating....he wanted to jump constantly. We purchased this, as we live in a home with over 9' ceilings. It would be impossible to use anything that mounted in a door frame and we REALLY wanted to be able to move the unit from room to room if necessary. This was perfect! Our son loved making the noises and music come on with his actions (all sound is adjustable...on/off) and we could adjust the tension so that he could jump his little heart out! I loved that I could move it into another room easily if I needed to. If you have an active baby, or a REALLY active baby, this would be perfect!
The only reason I did not give this a perfect score....1.) It is not "easily folded" for storage, it does take up some space, but not nearly as much as others on the market. And 2.) I really wish they would have thought about some sort of mat or cushioning pad that would secure to the bottom. We put towels underneath when our son used it on our hardwood floors, but it seemed to be fine on a carpet.
I highly recommend this product. I think this piece of equipment was used the longest, after of course the pack-n-play. It was well worth the price and our son got a lot of enjoyment from it. I know that my next baby will enjoy it also.

We bought this for our son when he was 3 months old. He is now 5 months old and still loves it just as much as the first day he was in it. I have it in the kitchen and he happily plays in it in the morning while I make breakfast and then again at night while I make dinner. He absolutely loves it. He probably would stay in it all day if I let him. We also have the triple fun exersaucer and he only plays in that for 5 minutes before he wants out of it. Wish I would have purchased the jumperoo first and never even bought the exersaucer.
* A little update (January 2, 2008): My son is now 10 months old and still loves the Jumperoo (Although we are nearing the end of the Jumperoo days, since he would much rather be on the move than restrained in anything now), but he did grow to love the exersaucer as well. Both were excellent purchases and I would recommend both. The Jumperoo does not have a lot of activities on it, but it provides a lot of fun in that it allows the baby to bounce and that's what babies love to do as infants. There are two settings for the music--one that plays continuously and one mode that only plays when the baby bounces. The exersaucer has many more activities on it, but doesn't provide the same bouncing motion as the jumperoo. As I said both were excellent purchases and I have recommended both to friends and family. I was recommended to get a walker or doorway jumper by friends, whose babies had loved them. However, upon further research I found that those toys were some of the most dangerous on the market. But I loved the idea of a toy that encouraged physical activity. I came across jumperoos while searching on amazon.
I found a used rainforest jumperoo for half price with only the motion sensing toy still attached. I tied wood toys to the other slots, and my 5 month baby loves it. She loves the cause-and-effect from the motion sensing toy, and loves being able to jump. I love that it keeps her occupied for a bit while I do things that don't allow me to hold her, like cooking on the stove.
The music it plays is nice. I wish I knew the names of all 4 songs it plays in continuous music mode so I could sing along. The first is "Froggy Went A-Courtin'" and the third is "The Itsy-Bitsy Spider", but I don't know the other two. I was concerned that it was treated with flame retardants because of a notice on the tags, but I called the company and Mattel said none of the Fisher Price toys are treated with flame-retardant, including this one.
The main downside is that it is bulky in our small house, but I don't see how it could be any smaller and still allow for jumping. The other thing I don't like about it is the annoying elephant noise.
