My daughters 5 months now. I didn't think she'd be ready for this in the car yet, so, I put it in her crib. It's wonderful in her crib! There are so many crib toys out there that I haven't liked because they're hard and the baby can bump her head into them when moving in the crib. But, this is a very flat unit made of cloth. So, it fits nicely on the side of her crib and she loves it! She enjoys reaching & trying to grab onto the animal characters and has fallen asleep to the music on 2 occasions. I think in a month or two, we'll transfer this to the car and she'll be so accustomed to enjoying it that hopefully it will keep her just as entertained.Customer Review: Fastening strap broke!

I like being able to see my daughter with this mirror and thought she would like it too. But, she doesn't seem to notice that it is there, even when it is playing music and flashing lights. Either way, I had fastened it to the back of the car window fastener loop using the attached plastic strap fastener and when I tried to unhook it to remove the mirror temporarily, it broke! It took quite a bit of problem solving to figure out how to put it back in the car securely and safely. I went to Fischer Price's website and sent a complaint to customer service but NEVER received a response back. I'll think twice about buying any of their products next time!Customer Review: This is Dangerous

I bought this for my grandson. We hadn't set it up in the car yet, thankfully. I had turned it on and was holding for the baby to look at. I turned it off and set it down next to me. I started smelling something strange, like melting plastic. I asked my son if he noticed the smell. He started looking around and he picked up the mirror and realized that the battery compartment was so hot the plastic was melting. He immediately romoved the batteries and I will be taking it back.
I tried going to the fisher-price website to report this problem, but they don't have any way of doing that. But I did get an 800 number I plan to call.

To install this mirror my husband had to do it. My sleep deprived mind couldn't comprend how to suspend it from the middle location in the sedan. The first time I turned it on he was 3weeks old and was turning red with screaming. He immediately stopped yelling and watched the lights and the music seemed to soothe him. It does sound like the speaker boxes are hit and miss with quality. But mine has worked great and has been a sanity saver. Although I would like to have more options on the remote like turning on just the music or lights and volume control. But the on/off feature from the front seat while driving is good enough.Customer Review: This Thing Sucks

I have twins and I purchased 2 of these to go in the back of my minvan. I liked them because they were so big and the carseats were on the last row. I thought these things would be perfect. I never once got either of them to work properly. If you didn't turn it off on the mirror then the batteries would run down within hours even though it was not playing. The damn things would never stay in place. One of them actually fell off and hit my son. I wrote Fisher Price and they sent me two replacement mirrors that still did not work. So I took all 4 mirrors back to Toys R Us and got store credit. Please do not buy this mirror!
