Baby Products Reviews of Fisher-Price Rainforest Deluxe Auto MirrorCustomer Review: Worked for my crying baby! Summary: 5 Stars
I read the other reviews and debated about buying this product but I had a baby that screamed every time we were in the car so what the heck. Gosh am I glad I bought this mirror, it worked wonders on calming my daughter when things got rough. The lights, music and remote control worked as they should. I had no problem adjusting it in my car too. It actually made it through the post from America to Germany without a problem. Was it worth 19.99 dollars...Yes. Any mother or father knows a newborns screams on the freeway is pretty upsetting and I was glad that I had the mirror to see that my daughter was okay and that I could safely use the remote control to turn on the music and lights. It really worked like a charm!
Customer Review: Great Concept Summary: 4 Stars
This product offers more than just a mirror to view your baby in the back seat, but there are some problems. There are several means to attach this to your vehicle, but I had problems getting it to stay in one vehicle, but was successful when it was attached to a headrest (which I do not have in the middle of my SUV). Unfortunately, the velcro got stuck while I was attempting to adjust it under the headrest and I wound up craking the mirror. The batteries drain very quickly when it is not turned off (this is due to the remote control feature -- which is great in concept if it were not for the battery drain). All-in-all, this was a good purchase since other products do not offer music and lights and my baby does like it.
Customer Review: Mirror ruined before I could use it..... Summary: 1 Stars
I took the product out of the box, put in the batteries, and loved how it worked with the remote. I took the film off of the mirror and it was smudged. I went to clean it, and the mirror was ruined first thing. It was scratched by anything I tried to clean it with. It said soft cloth, but anything you use just basically scratches it up or makes it very blurry.
I was given this as a gift, so I really don't know where it came from and since I am the one that ruined it, I'm not sure if I can take it back.
Like I said, I loved the remote, the lights, the music....but the mirror itself is VERY cheap and can be ruined very easily. it's not worth it, because you are going to have to clean it eventually.
Customer Review: good idea but not worth the money Summary: 1 Stars
I bought this item for my newborn baby and I did not even get a chance to use it in the car. I took it out of the box and let him look at it while he sat in his boppy pillow and I agree with other reviewers he was content. The problem came when I tried to peal the plastic off the mirror. Once I finally got it off you could no longer see in the mirror because it was scratched so bad. The remote for it also did not work all the time and even when I tried to explore all the settings with out the remote the toy had a mind of it's own. It would not play correctly. I would say this toy was a waist of money and gave it one star because it is a neat idea. I wish another company would use this idea!!!
Customer Review: It's THE auto mirror to have!!! Summary: 5 Stars
Just got mine after getting fed up with craning my neck to check on my kiddo in the back seat. Why this mirror as opposed to others? It has multiple ways to be attached to allow it a safe fit in most cars. I don't have a headrest, so I have it clipped to the car seat tether hook in the back window. Attaches safely. Other mirrors with suction cup attachments can be dangerous if they detach in a collision. Mirror is BIG! I can clearly see my son's face and he can see me. Being able to see me is entertainment enough for him. The music and lights are a bonus. We can use it in other places besides the car because it can stand alone. I'm only sad that I waited this long to get it!
