I think that this mirror is wonderful. I can't imagine not being able to see my baby in the car now that I have it. It's large and easy to install. It does occasional get misalligned it you hit a big bump in the road but it is so easy to adjust and so large that it isn't a problem for me at all. My son loves looking at himself in the mirror too. The remote's clip does not allow installation on my visor but this too isn't a problem for me. The lights aren't really bright enough to be seen during the day but are great at night when my son can't see himself in the mirror or look out the window. The animals come into view in a soothing and captivating sequence. I don't use the music often but relative to other toys, the music is no more or less annoying. I do think that the lights tend to eat battery time but I expected as much. I looked at other products and believe that this one is the best one available from BabiesRUs.Customer Review: Not very durable or safe

I bought the mirror when my son was 3 weeks old and he now 3 months old so needless to say it has only lasted 2 1/2 months before the strap that holds it in place snapped. I always had to adjust the mirror because it never seeemd to stay in place so I would only end up seeing the top of his head.
I went to adjust it one day and the strap just snapped like paper. If it would have snapped while I was driving with my son it could have fallen right on him and the mirror is pretty big and could have injured him.
Also when the strap snapped fuzzy stuff from the strap went everywhere like little particles. I don't feel that is very safe either because that can be breathed in by him which could be dangerous not knowing what exactly the material is made of.
The remote doesn't work very well either.
I am normally happy with Fisher Price products but this one was made very poorly.

I love this item!! We bought ours when our baby was 3 months old and I would be driving alone in the morning to drop her off at daycare. I love the big mirror, you can actually see everything while driving. I don't recommend looking back and checking every minute, but once in awhile is great. The other use is the lights and music it plays. Our baby loves it. And most times it puts her to sleep. If she is getting fussy in the car I just turn it on and it quiets her. I don't over use it, I only use it when I HAVE to and it works well for calming her. Great item!!
As my duaghter got older, she liked to look at herself too to keep her preoccupied. Since our daughter is very petite, She was 17 months old before we could put her front facing, so the last few months using the rear facing car seat were trying. I think she actually used it to look at us too during that time. Great item!!
Customer Review: ONLY works w/Remote!!!

We bought this for our son about 3 monthes ago & he really likes it. He likes to follow the lights & listen to the music. I like that the mirror is big enougth for me to see him in. I also really like that it has a volume control dial for the music & not just a high & low setting.
However, this mirror will only turn on by using the remote. Something I didn't know when I purchased it. Otherwise I wouldn't have bought it. There is no on switch for the music or lights on the mirror itself.
Also, I have found that the remote will not work if it gets cold. So, I can't leave the remote in the car, I have to either bring it into the house or put into the diaper bag. Sometimes the remote is left behind & I have no way to turn the mirror on. I am then left with an overpriced mirror. That is the biggest flaw that I have found in this mirror & to me it is a big oversight.

I wanted to give the product 4 1/2 stars.
Pros: The mirror is easy to set up and install. It is big enough to see my entire baby in his car seat and a little bit of the seats beside him. The songs are nice and it nice to have a remote to start/stop the song and lights.
Cons: I put the mirror on one of the other seat's headrest instead of the middle because if placed in the middle it would obstruct my view (that's why I didn't give it 5 stars). I would have preferred a smaller remote. It's pretty big for just having one button. The only other thing I didn't like about it is you have to leave the mirror on one of the settings in order to use the remote. The manufacturers should have just put the settings on the remote itself.
Overall it's a good deal, it's cute, and works like it's supposed to.
