Customer Review: Great Mirror, but the remote is useless!!

The positive....it is wonderful to be able to see my baby in his rear-facing car seat. The negative....the remote never worked, which is why I chose this mirror in the first place. I thought it would be entertaining to my son and a real convenience while driving. Thinking there may be a defect with that particular mirror, I returned it for a new one. My husband and I encountered the same problem. We decided to keep it anyway because the mirror is large and provides a great view of my baby. However, if you are purchasing this mirror because of the neat remote idea, you may want to think again!Customer Review: A baby gear must have!!

I got thie mirror when my daughter was two days old and it has been irreplaceable since then. I hated not being able to see my daughter when I was driving, so I went out and bought this one after looking at others. I installed it before we left the parking lot and I use it constantly. When I ride in another car with my daughter that dosen't have a mirror, I really miss it. I can always see if she is sleeping or if she has spit up. The mirror is larger than many others and has the sound and lights features, which my daughter loves. It was also a lot easier to install than others I have seen.Customer Review: Not worth it

I didn't get much use out of this b/c when it was time to switch over to our particular convertible car seat, there was no way to safely anchor the mirror as well (b/c a tether came over the top and side of the car seat to the anchor in back.)
So I was going to sell the mirror, but then I touched the mirror with my hand (I guess I had lotion on??) and there was a huge black smear. So I tried to get the smear off with window cleaner, and that made the whole mirror worse, so now it's all foggy!
Also, the remote didn't come even close to fitting on my visor.

I got this toy as a gift and it has been a lifesaver! Anytime my son was fussy in the car, I would just turn it on and he instantly quieted down. He especially loved it when it was dark and he could see the lights. He would smile and giggle at the different animals as they lit up. I don't know what we would have done on some long trips without it.
The remote isn't especially great; you have to point it directly at the mirror for it to work, but overall it's a great toy. My son loves it and I love to be able to look in my rearview mirror and see what he's doing.
Customer Review: Don't Waste Money On This One

We've only had the mirror for 3 weeks. I love the large mirror size, but as others said in their reviews, it isn't worth the money. The mirror itself is very easily scratched and ruined. I cleaned it with a very soft cotton cloth and it is so hazy I can hardly see the baby. The batteries run out because it doesn't stay turned off, it keeps coming back on by itself. The music has now stopped working and the lights are not bright enough during the day to do any good.
We are returning it to the store and getting another brand. I should have read the reviews here first.
