Customer Review: Disappointed with this...

I was so excited about this item that I preordered it. I love the rainforest theme and was disappointed that it hadn't come out earlier so that this could have been the theme for all of my daughter's baby gear (she is almost 5 months).
We got the bouncer a week ago and I can't begin to say how disappointed I was. It isn't nearly as long as the picture suggests and the toys on the toy bar come down way too low. It is almost to the point where she can't play with them because they hit her legs - not to mention the rings that are suppose to attach to the bottom of the monkey - there is no room to attach them. My daughter is only 13 pounds and this is suppose to be good up to a 25 lb baby. I can't imagine if she was any bigger. And the rings come off way too easily anyways - my daughter has them both off within seconds (I attach them to the monkey's ears).
On the plus side, my daughter is very interested with everything and loves to watch and listen to everything that is happening and she loves the toys on the toy bar. But unless I got a defective model it was just very poorly constructed.

I had high hopes for this. We have another Fisher Price Bouncer (the Woodland Creatures) and love it. We purchased this to use in addition to the other one. We have the crib soother in this theme and my son loves that, so it just made sense to order this one.
Unfortunately this one seems to be poorly made. The design is just plain bad. The top bar with the toys has to be removed to take the baby out or put him in. That's just a recipe for breaking in the near future.
We were really excited about the functionality as well. I love the idea of jostling the toys to activate the waterfall. My son is just learning to grab things and I thought he would love this. However, the toys hang so low, they bang against his thighs. He's only 3 months old. In the bouncer we received, the toys are definitely in a different position than pictured.
Also, please be aware that because of the toys on the bar, it requires 4 D batteries instead of just one like most of the other bouncers
All in all, I can only give this 2 stars. Great concept, poor execution.

I did not register for this product but wanted to try it once we realized our little girl did not like her swing.
While I do not like the pattern of the fabric on the swing (I wish they made this fabric neutral since the baby never sees it and will not be stimulated by it), this product saved our nights.
She started getting fussy at night around week 4 and the only thing that works is putting her in the swing and bouncing her HARD. This not only quiets her, it also puts her to sleep for the night.
This bouncer has also been a lifesaver when it comes to taking a daily shower. I put her in the bouncer and keep it in the bathroom with me while I shower. She sleeps the entire time.
We are actually going to purchase another one from a local store..."just in case" this one breaks during one of her "meltdowns".
I initially had the Maclaren bouncer, and while the Maclaren is certainly cushiony, it just doesn't have the same "practical" features the Fisher Price model does.

My daughter enjoys this seat very much. I read many of the reviews here before we purchased the seat and I was a little concerned. I must say we have not had any problems and love the seat. It is more upright than many others we considered which is great because my daughter loves to be upright and look around. She enjoys the toys and can grasp them just fine. The lights and music are great too. She slept in this chair at night for the first few months of her life and at that age, she loved the vibration. At this point, she is not sleeping in it but she still loves to use it during the day for a little playtime. At 4mos old, she is huge (18lbs and 25" long) but she still fits just fine. The extra weight does make the chair not quite as upright but it is still holding up really well. The cover is easy to remove, easy to wash and it air dries very quickly. The batteries seem to last a long time. My 2&1/2 year old can remove and reattach the play/light bar with ease...so it is easy to use. We love this seat and are so glad we have it. On day two of new baby someone called and said we're coming by, what do you need...I said a place to put her down!! They brought us this seat and we have used it everday since. She is safe in it and content. It's light enough to carry it around with her in it (of course she in small). We set her in it in every room of the house so that we can get things done...she sits in it while dinner is prepared, while laundry is folder, showers are taken...the waterfall kept her occupied in the early months, and now she plays with the two hanging animals. Now that she is starting solid foods, it's also ideal for feedings! The other nice thing is that the cover comes of VERY easily for washing...we have 3 slobbering boxers so we need to wash stuff frequently...this is holding up just fine. I will say that the lizzard has broken and now makes a popping noise, but I think that is really just from our rough use of the toy bar getting kicked around. I say buy it...worth the money!
