We used a Safety 1st bathtub up to when our son was about 4 months [...]. Then he was able to sit up assisted and didn't like lying down in the Safety 1st bathtub (we didn't have any problems with it leaking, unlike many others who bought it from BRU). After reading great reviews on this FP Whale tub, we decided to buy it, and we love it. Sitting on the green tab in the middle took some getting used to. Occasionally he'll arch his back and slide his butt off the green tab, so we have to watch that he doesn't slide too far and go below the water line. The tub is easy to fill and empty, even with one hand holding the baby! Our son also likes watching the water come out of the little orange whale cup - it's got holes in the bottom so the water comes out like out of a shower head.Customer Review: Perfect tub for entire first year.

It has taken me most of the first year of my daughter's life to understand the true value of this tub. This is the only tub that seems to have the functionality to work equally well for newborns as it does for us now at 11 months. The green spacer is perfect for your newborn's butt to sit and the whale's tale is comfortable for them to recline onto. She never slipped, always perfectly in place while I washed her. Both grandparents had different infant tubs and both worked o.k. for her when she was little, but were not as functional for older infants without the removable but rest. My daughter has also alway enjoyed the orange fish/cup that comes with the tub. We have many toys for her to play with during bathtime, but she always chooses to it first.Customer Review: love this tub!

I've used this tub for the past 4.5 months with my daughter. it worked perfectly when she was a newborn. I could bathe her alone, as the green stopper helped her stay put. I used it in my kitched sink for the first 3 months. the legs fit perfectly in the sink divider and i never felt the tub was unstable or would move. i moved her at 4 months to put the tub in the big bath tub because she was kicking so much, water was gettinge everywhere! it works perfectly in the big bathtub as well. i've had no issues with this tub, as other posters have stated. it has been perfect and i love it. i first purchased the puj tub and used it once, i hated it. this tub is SO cheap and i would have paid more for it if i knew how well it would work!Customer Review: Comfy and safe for newborn

I was looking for just the right tub for my 2nd baby. My first tub was the kind that expanded. I hated that kind because it leaked through the cracks and never held in water right.
I also didnt think the sling was all that great, and I knew i didn't want to use this tub again.
After many, many review reading, i gave this tub a chance. That was the best thing i did, my baby loves taking baths, this tub in comfortable how the back is molded just right to hold your baby's back and is the perfect angle. Their is also a thin foam pad so the back is not touching just the straight plastic.
I do use it in the bathtub, because it is just easier to fill, and empty, but it is not too bad.

We bought this tub about 3 weeks ago, and it has been absolutely great! We've bought 2 inflatable tubs in the past, both of which leaked air (which rendered it useless). We decided to look for a non-inflatable type and have been extremely happy with this.
Initially we took out the green "hump" in the middle, but after he kept slipping down, we put it back on. It's perfect for our 4-month old son - his butt sits right on the "hump" and makes it extremely easy for us to wash him. Our child is able to lean back against the green sponge without hitting his head on a hard surface, which is also a great relief. Great design, simple to use, and enables us to wash him right in our kitchen sink.
