The Projection Mobile features a colorful animal-themed design, sweet music, and a fascinating light show that dances up above. The delicate canopy keeps images close, making it easy for young babies to focus. And when your baby grows, you can remove the mobile and project the show directly on the ceiling, with music or sounds playing along to add to the fun.
Four Plush Characters Promote Brain Development
To help your baby learn to focus and to support healthy visual development, the Projection Mobile includes four plush animal toys with spinning antics that are sure to delight and calm your baby. A teal whale, white polar bear, green alligator, and yellow lion keep your baby interested with their detailed designs and friendly faces. Babies will want to reach up to touch one or all, and parents can join in the fun by naming each animal and explaining where it lives.
Three Musical Settings to Match Your Baby's Moods
As your baby watches the animal antics, you can choose up to a full 20 minutes of music to either soothe or engage her senses and to help develop her auditory skills. Customize your baby's experience and match her mood by choosing from classical lullabies from Bach, Beethoven, and Mozart, nature and ocean sounds, or heartbeat and white noise womb sounds.
The Projection Mobile measures 23.5 x 17.0 x 18.0 inches (WxHxD) and weighs just five pounds. It attaches securely to any crib with an improved, stable mechanism, and it comes with a remote control. To operate, the mobile requires four "D" batteries, while the remote requires two "AAA" batteries.

We bought this mobile spur of the moment from a big box retailer for a higher price than available on Amazon. We are very happy with the mobile for many reasons and highly recommend it to other parents:
1. The projected images are soothing and immediately caught the attention of our then three week old baby and its held her attention on a nightly basis since. We have even found ourselves drifting off when we watch the friendly images from the rocker as we feed the baby.
2. The music is very soothing and there is enough variety that you don't tire of hearing the same tune on too close of a rotation and the heartbeat option provides nice background noise as she settles into a deeper sleep.
3. The music, nature sounds, heartbeat and/or projected images remain on for an extended period of time allowing a nice transition time and a perfect nightlight for us as we walk or rock the baby and as we scramble around the room to get ourselves to bed, as well.
4. The remote control is very helpful.
5. It doesn't use up batteries - it's still going strong after heavy daily and nightly use for seven weeks.

We don't use the canopy - we just like the projected images better and have found that the baby really doesn't really like to have anything close to her face when she's sleepy. The canopy was really better for entertaining her during the day when she's wakeful, not sleepy. The canopy is easily attached and removed, as desired.
If using the canopy it would not be something you can attach to most pack and plays but without the canopy we were able to use it on our pack and play with a little receiving blanket tucked under the base to aim the light in right direction. I easily move the base between the pack and play in the evening (we use it as a bassinet) and the crib during the day for naps. The base has also traveled with us for a long weekend away and was very helpful to have familiar sights and sounds for the baby and the nightlight for us as we stumbled around an unfamiliar room trying not to disturb our sleeping infant.
