I ordered the fisher price baby papasan swing- starlight. I ordered the swing on May 31 and received it a day sooner then expected!!! The swing was shipped out the day it was ordered and amazon sent me confirmation to my email and also I was able to track it in every place it had went thru to get to me! With regular shipping it only took 3 business days! As for the swing it is easy to assemble and after reviewing about 100 different swings and hearing stories of the motor and batteries dying within a month or so I figured this would be the best choice. It by far had the best reviews. Beware that not all papasan swings have the outlet option like this one does! So I am gonna save money on batteries and I hear the outlet is better for the motors too. I am a mother of 2 with one on the way and haven't been able to use the swing yet but as for actual swing and features it is wonderful. Definitely the best choice out there. I will update to let you know how it works with the baby inside!!! P.S. with my last one I had the fisher price aquarium and a graco and fisher price is by far the BEST!Customer Review: A lot of bells & whistles (literally) but not the best

I would say that despite it being the most expensive Fisher-Price swing it still has some kinks. During the "nighttime" songs there is an almost ear-piercing clashing of bells which I found out about when my 3 mth old woke up abruptly from his peaceful sleep. Also, it seems like having the mobile & lights on really slows the motor down, and the swing doesn't move very much. Other swings that I have used (the regular papasan & the aquarium swing) have had much more strength. Also, the netting is a little ridiculous and I am glad that I have the option of removing it. The lights are pretty bright, and I have to turn them off when my son is really tired otherwise he squints & gets fussy. I was expecting fantastic quality, but I would suggest to Fisher-Price to put more money into the durability of the motor vs. all the little cutesy extras. I do have to say though, the seat is very cozy, the songs for the most part are pleasant and as usual, amazon had it out to us in record speed. Better luck next time!Customer Review: happy baby

When we received our swing, the toy/snack tray was missing. We called fisher price and a representative has sent one. We should be recieving it in a few days. Besides that it was easy enough to put together and I see that my baby is very comfortable in this swing. He will be fussy and I have done all I can for him so I put him in it and he either falls asleep or is soothed, almost instantly. Or other times I have to make dinner or something that requires both of my hands and I put him in there and he is fine, especially if the swing setting is on a low speed. If he is really upset though, a higher speed is more effective. One thing I was a bit disappointed in was the song setting, you cant choose the songs, and they play the same order every time. You cant even skip a song. But he doesn't seem to mind. The motor is a bit loud but then thats all the more soothing for baby. If this swing is the one you want, you wont be disappointed -unless of course you recieve it without a tray hahahaCustomer Review: Not as great as I thought...

I got this swing a few months ago for my newborn. Overall, the swing is a pretty good buy, but I do have a few complaints that I would like to point out to those of you who might be thinking about getting it. The swing noise is very loud. We had our newborn in this swing because she wouldn't sleep flat on her back, and it has a loud clicking noise when it goes from side to side/front to back. The other issue I have with this item is that the seat is not sturdy. It wobbles when you switch positions, and it's just not as stable as I thought it would be for the price. That part makes it seem cheaply made. I hate to complain so much about a product, but I just wanted to let people know my thoughts.
Everything else about the swing is great! It is very comfortable for the baby, with the little pillow/head support. The mobile with lights is really interesting to the baby after about 3 months. The price was best from Amazon as well. That's it! Thanks!

We bought this for our son because it is sweet looking yet doesn't scream GIRL. We've had no problems with the mechanics of it. The music is very nice; I like that you can vary the sound level and that there are so many musical options. The only complaint would be that it doesn't appear to swing very fast, but considering he likes to sleep in it, a fast swing isn't really necessary and it certainly swings adequately, just not wildly. The mobile is very cute and our son loves to watch the stars and bear. The lights work GREAT, casting both on the netting and on the walls and floor. It really is fun to look at. The papasan seat is comfortable and cozy which allows him to sleep quite well in it. Last, I really like the style of it. Everyone I know has the Nature's Touch swing, which is mechanically identical (and very nice), but I get a LOT of oohs and ahhs with how adorable this one is. We love this swing. I look forward to using it with our next baby.
