One of the best gifts we got when Willow was first born was the Papasan Swing. It was a gift from her lovely aunt and she loved it.
The really great thing about this swing is that it can swing either side-to-side or back-to-front. And the mobile is cute because it moves and twirls (if you want it to) and you can choose whether or not to play music. Willow loved sleeping in this swing.
The ONLY drawback for this swing is that it takes batteries. Yes, it is mobile but I would have preferred something that plugged in. But that's just us and I don't have any idea if there is an infant swing in existence that plugs in.

Love the swing. It has several sound options plus two swinging options...facing forward it swings left to right, turned sideways, it swings back and forth. I like the fact that you can plug this in and not burn batteries like most swings. My son was 7 lbs when he was born and I don't think he was big enough to enjoy the swing until he put on more weight, but now we use it frequently during the day. Its soft and sweet. I bought this swing from a friend when I had my first child and absolutely love it. It rocks two different directions which is great, plays different songs/sounds, is comfortable and safe. My daughter just loves it. Since I have had mine three of my friends have bought the same one for their children. I just bought it for a friends shower and she loves it too. Excellent swing.
