This is a nice swing, but this version has been recalled as of May 2007. Check the fisher price website for details. We experienced the exact problem that others described.
Battery life was good, and it calmed our baby for a while, but don't expect to use it for many months...

We ordered this product for our 3 month old daughter to take on vacation with us. She loves her regular swing so we knew we needed one to take with us. It was very easy to put together and was nice and powerful. It didn't fold up quite as small as I had thought but we had room in the car for it. I purchased this item last week and received it this Tuesday. I just finished putting together the swing and it works like a charm! I know when my son arrives he will love it! The only 3 things I dislike about the swing is: it was hard to get the chair part to snap together into the actual swinging mechanism, it isn't as compact as the box leads it on to be, and the choice of music. If those things could be changed, it would really be the perfect swing.Customer Review: BE VERY CAREFUL!!

My 5 month old was just starting to try to lean forward like he is working on his stomach muscles. I was sitting next to him thankfully when he leaned forward just a little while the swing was on and it made him tip completely forward. He was strapped in tight and was just hanging there! Thank god I was there to catch him. I would NOT recommend this swing. I would definately buy the larger Fisher-Price swings that are more sturdy. At least you will be able to leave the room for a second and know your baby will be safe! I have nothing against Fisher Price, I just have an issue with this swing!
