Customer Review: Big Disappointment
Summary: 1 Stars

I registered for this product along with several other Aquarium products. I was so excited when we got it, but the first time we tried it with our new baby, we realized it was not what we expected. The hammock is a great concept, but even with a six pound baby, it did not hold him off of the hard plastic divider in the middle of the tub. My son hated it. I ended up buying a seperate bath sponge to put in the tub. Also, with the hammock, my son slipped down in the tub repeatedly. This scarred him and made bath time such a chore. He is now big enough to sit/lay in without the hammock or sponge, but he still slides. And, the bottom is just too hard. The divider is supposed to make it possible to use the tub at the kitchen sink, but it did not fit on mine. Also, the tub is not mildew resistant. We have drained it and let it air dry after each use, but it still has mildew in the bottom. I have to clean it with bleach weekly and I hate doing that since my son likes to put the attached toys and cups in his mouth. I am now looking for a better tub.

Customer Review: Cute, but not very functional
Summary: 3 Stars

My daughter is now 12 weeks old and I wish we had bought the tub earlier so we could have tried out the newborn hammock feature - she was too big for it when we started using the tub, but I think she would have liked it.

The pros of the tub are the included washing cups and the head pillow on the hammock. The main con in my opinion is the seat/bump in the middle of the tub. The seat is meant to be a support for the baby and we do use it that way. But if we really sit my daughter on it, she is up out of the water and cold. If I recline her lower, then the bump pokes her in the back and she is uncomfortable. The other con is that the tub doesn't drain especially well through the drain plug - I always have to spend time trying to get the last of the water out.

We really bought this tub because it was cute and gimmicky and matched our other Aquarium stuff, but I think we would have been better off with a plain old empty tub.

Customer Review: Infant tub
Summary: 3 Stars

We stopped using this tub when my daughter was about 2.5 months old (by then she was rolling front to back, back to front, both ways and was pretty much too tall for it). She had essentially outgrown it and it was just easier to get a foam pad and let her play with us in the regular tub with only a little water (easier too as one of us could be IN the tub, and another beside it).

However, for the first 2 months it was great, especially for new parents who may be tentative with their infant. You don't have to use much water, and the sling is very useful while the infants are still very small.

Could we have passed and just used the regular tub or large foam sponge? Probably. And I'm sure some babies will get more use out of it than others (ours is rather tall for her age). At this point it's just taking up storage space, but we'll probably pull it back out for the 1st few months of our next child.

Customer Review: Love this tub!!
Summary: 5 Stars

My son started getting real baths when he was 1 week and a half old. First we started in a regular baby tub. He screamed and wiggled around, it was impossible for me to bathe him on my own as it took 2 hands to hold and support him. So we bought the Aquarium Bath Center and Landon would still scream and wiggle but I didn't have to hold him because the hammock held him wonderfully. I could actually just let him lay there with out even holding him (with a very close hand of course) so it made baths time quick and painless. We did not have a problem with the bump, because if you read the intstructions, the baby is only suppoused to use the hammock until 10 lbs and then after that you are suppoused to unhook the bottom ends and have the rest their little bottom ends on the bump. Yes, the hammock gets stinky after a couple baths, But all you have to do is throw it in with the regular laundry and you are set!

Customer Review: Makes bath time fun
Summary: 5 Stars

Our son recently turned 4 months and we have been using this tub from the beginning. We have only used the sling part of it but have been quite pleased. In fact I don't even fill the tub with water. I just put our baby in the sling, bathe him and use the green toy cup to rinse him off. We put it on our large bathroom counter so he can look into the mirror and he laughs the whole time during bath time. The bump in the middle of the tub has recently started to rub on his back since he's obviously getting bigger. I just make sure the sling is tightened the tighest so his back doesn't touch the bump. We'll soon begin using the top part of the tub since he's about to outgrow the sling and is almost able to sit up on his own. Also our son has been perfectly average on height and weight so I can see where a taller and/or larger baby might not be as comfortable. Hope this works as well for you as it has for us.
