This is a fantastic product. Our little guy is on the colicky side and he will not sleep in a bassinet, but will totally sleep in this bouncer.
I think that it is well-made, nice looking, light but sturdy and for its price, hard to beat!
We considered the Papasan "bouncer" but I think this has more to do and also actually bounces which will be nice when he gets a bit older. It's also cheaper, which is nice!

I do not know what I would have done without this bouncer. I received it as a gift at my baby shower and used it almost since I came back from the hospital with my daughter. She LOVED it from the beginning. At first she would not enjoy the toy bar since the noise and the lights would be too much for her. I would then only use it so she could be with me wherever I went, without being alone and without having her ALWAYS lying down on her back (I figured whe would bore from the same position). She would nap in it frequently (the vibrating function come in very handy as it is very soothing). Now that she is almost 3 months old I have reintroduced the toy bar and finds it interesting...for a while.
I even carry it with me when I leave her at my mom's house. It's a way for her to be with us in whatever room we're in and to be able to easily look around and participate in our daily lives...
I rate it a 4 instead of a 5 because the toys are too far away for her to grab them.

I HAD A FUSSY NEW BABY GIRL. I HAD A BOUNCER AND UNFORTUNATLY, IT BROKE(VIBRATION'S STOPPED WORKING) WHEN SHE WAS A COUPLE WEEKS OLD. THAT WAS HORRIBLE!!! SO, I BOUGHT THIS AND THANK GOD FOR WHOEVER HAS DESIGNED THINGS LIKE THIS. MY BABY LOVED IT UNTIL SHE WAS ABOUT 9 MONTHS OLD...THEN SHE WANTED TO GET INTO OTHER THINGS THAN JUST SIT THERE! My daughter is almost a month old now and we've used the seat several times while I've been working on the computer (like now!) and doing things needing done around the house. Some days she likes it, some days she doesn't, but that's pretty much the same with everything around here.
I agree with those who say the auto shut-off time is too short -- I wish I had the option of turning off the sounds/action when it's convenient for ME, not when the machine preset tells it to shut off. Sometimes I need half an hour to do something like scrub the tub, and I don't want to have to keep running back to turn it back on. As for the baby-induced features, my daughter is still too small to make any of it "go" by herself.
I'm not sure whether this would be an improvement, but it seems to me it would be more advantageous were the lights behind/inside the little "aquarium" where the fish are. My daughter tracks lights a lot better than the movements of small things like those fish; if the lights were in the same area as the fish, she might notice both.
Anyway, it's better than nothing, and I hope she doesn't outgrow it too quickly!
