Customer Review: Keeps baby happy!
Summary: 4 Stars

We already had a Combi Activity Rocker, but the toys on the Combi are all manual (meaning there's nothing a little baby without developed motor skills can just kick back and watch.) My girl was extremely demanding & I needed something to entertain her while I read my email or brushed my teeth. (I used to sit in front of her & play with the toys on the Combi for her, just to keep her calm.) I was at my wits end & then I found the Aquarium bouncer. I'd read good reviews, but still wasn't sure because it just seems so flimsy & insubstantial compared to the Combi. Frankly, for the cheapness of the frame, I thought it was over-priced. But hey, whatever works!

We were at the store & she started fussing. We were near the bouncers, so I grabbed the display model, put it on the floor & plopped her in. (There were actually batteries in the display model!) Instant difference. It went home with us & I finally got a little free time.

A this point, she's 5 months & doesn't spend much time in it (she prefers to be upright & moving) but I still plop her in it in the bathroom while I get the tub ready every night & she still loves the music & those silly fish.

Customer Review: Cute bouncy chair for babies
Summary: 4 Stars

So far I've been really happy with the Fisher-Price Ocean Wonders Aquarium Bouncer. We'd been looking for a bouncy chair (no-frills) for when my daughter is a little older and just beginning to eat solids but at the suggestion of a friend, decided to take a look at this bouncer. My daughter usually loves being put into the chair...it vibrates and she likes watching the bubbles and flashing lights. I have to say I'm not a huge fan of the music (it's sort of cheesy and annoying) but obviously it's not for my benefit, my daughter doesn't seem to mind it, and anyway there are other sound options (e.g., ocean waves, rain drops) that are more calming. While this chair is not my daughter's favorite contraption (her max toleration time is usually only about 10 minutes), it's nice to be able to put her in it for even just a short while to keep her occupied while I'm trying to take care of other brief tasks in the same room. When my daughter is ready to start eating solids in a few months, our hope is that we can take the toy portion (with the bubbles) off, seat her in the chair and feed her. Luckily the fabric can be removed and washed easily in the washing machine.

Customer Review: Every parent needs one of these!
Summary: 5 Stars

Our son is five months old now and if there was one thing the "we couldn't live without" it would be this bouncer. He's been using it since he was a newborn and he loves it. He seems to never get tired of watching the fish, lights and the sounds. When he got older we set it to the interactive mode so that it makes sounds when he moves the toys on the bar.
The biggest value of this seat to us has been that it's a place we can set him for a few minutes when we need to do things like run to the bathroom or answer the door. We put him in the bouncer when we take a shower (something that's tough to do when you have a newborn that always wants to be held) and he's either content or falls right to sleep. We sometimes use the vibration but usually don't.
Another great feature of this seat is that the toy bar can be removed and we can use it as a seat in front of the TV while he watches 'Baby Einstein' DVDs. Belted in to the seat, he's secure and comfortable. He'll probably only fit into this seat for another month or so but this bouncer has been worth its weight in gold. We'll be buying it as a gift for all of our friends that become new parents.

Customer Review: yes it really is better than others
Summary: 5 Stars

My son has a different chair, a vibrating rocker actually. He likes that one too but this one is a clear winner. The bouncy is better than rocking on carpet. The toys are for kicking, not for hitting with hands, which means he's getting the hang of it now at 4 months though he was batting at the other toys at 3 months. The toys on the other chair were detachable so you could choose others--not so with the aquarium.

...but none of this matters because I never want to change anything!
before Connor could swing arms or legs he learned he could bounce the chair, which swings the toys, which activates the music and bubbles. this activation is nice even if the child doesn't know he's working it--the more active the baby, the more active the toy. if the baby sleeps, so does the music.

the music is mostly not obnoxious. I've had this chair (actually my niece's, who is only 3 weeks old) for 2 months and I'm not too sick of the music. my only complaint about the "5 songs" is that it cycles between 5 songs. I don't get to choose to turn one of them on or off.

the "soothing ocean sounds" put my husband to sleep, too.

Customer Review: Great bouncer!
Summary: 5 Stars

This was the first "toy" that really got our daughter's attention, at the ripe old age of 3 weeks. She was mesmerized by the sounds and movement, and continued to enjoy it for the next several months. Many people who visited commented on how annoying the sound of the mechanism that blows the air bubbles is, but it didn't bother me (or my daughter, for that matter). She loved the baby-activated feature as she got older, and having her in the seat gave me time to take a shower, fold laundry, and other household tasks that take about 10-20 minutes. Our friend's son, who is about 10 months older than our daughter, loved to climb into the seat and we'd have to pry him out of it to put our daughter in! It's very sturdy and the cover washes well. We ended up retiring it after our daughter got good at sitting up and rolling over, and got herself stranded hanging half-out of the seat a couple of times while I was in the shower. After that, she was done with the bouncer and we moved on to the ExerSaucer. However, it was a necessary item in our house until then, because it kept her safe and entertained when we needed to use both hands for a few minutes.
