Customer Review: A great bouncer for sleep and entertainment!
Summary: 5 Stars

We couldnt purchase swings because we have twins, and just figured that bouncers would take up less space than the swings, and they are also more convinient

I love that I was able to put the boys inside from the day we brought them home (although we used infant headsupport). Theres a 3-point harness, but while they are sitting in this bouncer they cant really wiggle themselves out anyway. I think its great that the harness keeps them secure, so they cant roll over, although having mesh on the sides like the take-along swings would have made it even better. We still are confident that they are safe and can feed them in these, keep them on the counter (safe wide counter, up against the wall) while I am doing dishes, it keeps them away from my daughter and my dogs. I love the vibrations, they always put them to sleep and stop them from crying. The bouncer certainly "bounces" but does bounce more if you also move it manually (like with your feet while baby is on the floor and your on the couch). the toy bar is GREAT now that they are kicking and swating at it. I love the option to let it just play music and lightup, or use as a reward when baby moves something. ITs not too easy to get the kids out with the bar atatched, but when it isnt it couldnt be easier. So if your child falls asleep in it I recomend removing the bar before taking them out of it, it keeps them sleeping... just do it VERY carefully. I love that the fabrics comfortable and plush, and the colors are bright and intruiging. I love that the bouncers also sturdy and takes up a small amount of room.

Its perfect for entertaining baby, and for helping them sleep at night. I would never change it for anything.

Customer Review: Good Bouncer
Summary: 4 Stars

My 1st born Alexander loved this seat. He would fall asleep in it, no problem. He didn't care too much about the toys, but he wasn't interested in toys until he was too old for the seat. He is 21 months now and loves to sit on the seat. He can get in and out with ease. My second son, Nicholas is four months old doesn't like the vibrations but loves the fish and star. He loves the water and the bubbles noise. He does however like being rocked in this seat and that put him to sleep.
It is pretty easy to pack up. I gave this for 4 stars because it is quite loud; the bubbles are really loud. It's louder than the music. Maybe it got that way over time. Like I said with my 1st born we didn't use the toy bar and we have this product about 2 years.

The batteries on this thing is pretty good. It doesn't devour them. I accidently left the vibration on for an entire weekend and when we returned they still worked.

7/14/2006 UPDATE: The water on the toy bar is half gone. If you are planning on keeping this bouncer for future children, it becomes very loud and annoying. I keep it around because my two boys loves the starfish and fish; however there is not enough water in there to move them. We had the product for two years. If you are planning on having different bouncers for each child this is good bouncer. My two boys each enjoyed the bouncer for different reasons. It is a bit pricey, but I did get good use out of the bouncer.

Would I buy it again, I don't know. There are other good bouncers out there for lesser price. Do I regret this purchase, NO! Like I said my two boys enjoyed the bouncer.

Customer Review: ZERO STARS Product is Dead to me!
Summary: 3 Stars

WARNING/UPDATE: We're on replacement screen #2 and it has warped sound and an electrical short that drains the batteries in 20 minutes. Add to this the problem mentioned by others that, even when securely strapped in, the kid managed to lean himself sideways and hang off the edge, THIS PRODCT IS LANDFILL. Replacement screen #3 arrived today and is headed right for the trash with the base product. FAULTY & UNSAFE PRODUCT.

I received this bouncer as a gift a month before my son was born. I began setting it up a week before he arrived only to find out that a metal cross-rod was missing. Fisher Price required me to mail parts of the bouncer to them at my expense (with insurance, the cost was over $10.00) to facilitate an exchange, as they do not provide the part, but replace the entire bouncer as a whole. Lots of waste here!

My son has been using the bouncer now for about two and a half weeks, and the bubble screen has just died. The light and music work, but no bubbles, no twirling starfish and no kissing fish. I've written to FP with this second problem, and as yet (48-hours) have received no reply.

I've enjoyed the working product: it's given me time to shower while the kid is in his morning rest mode, and keeps him entertained beside me while I'm a-pumping away breastwise. Unfortunately, between missing and disfunctional parts, I'm annoyed.

Check the box for parts before buying, and be prepared for breakdowns. I'll update my review when I hear from FP regarding the bubble screen.
Great item, if you get one that holds up...
Summary: 4 Stars Our son loved this chair from the day we brought him home all the way until he was around 10 months...but we had a few issues with it which is the reason for the one star removed.

Positive: Our baby loved the vibrations, lights, and the moving bubbles and fish. He liked to kick the hanging toys when he was little. The music has a volume adjustment, which is nice. The restraint is good if fitted properly on the baby. The unit is very stable and has nice rubber feet to prevent slippage if the baby is bouncing. BabiesRUs has provided excellent customer service regarding this item. We never had a problem getting it replaced. (see below)

Negative: We had to get this item replaced 5 times. The first few times were right away because the bubbles did not work right out of the box. Then, three times, we had to take it back because our baby broke the frame from bouncing so hard. He was around 20 lbs. when this happened all three times, so beware, if you have a big and active baby, this product may not last long for you. It is rated up to 25 lbs, but I don't see this happening unless a baby is just lying there not bouncing.

This was last year, and I see that they have updated the chair a bit. Maybe they have addressed some of these issues...Although when I looked at it in the store, the frame appeared to be of the same design and thickness, so hard to say. The visual unit looked the same too. Could be just new fabric.

Overall a great product, if you get a "good" one, and if you don't mind getting it replaced if you get a "bad" one (or two).

Customer Review: Best baby shower gift I received...
Summary: 5 Stars

This was the only thing that would calm our son. He would sit in this chair for a long time watching the bubbling water and the fish. The music is also rare for a child's toy...it's not annoying! In fact, I actually found the music quite soothing.

My husband and I could sit and rock the chair gently with our feet while watching TV or turn on the vibrate function. This thing is actually amazing on batteries. We forgot and left the vibrate function on several times and hours later would return to find it still vibrating. We would turn it off and it worked again the next time we turned it on.

I had looked at other bouncers, but there is no other bouncer out there that not only provides a comfy seat for baby, but viable entertainment that the baby is actually interested in.

My son used it up until 6 months...but then he started learning to roll over and he'd get too antsy being strapped into a chair.

I'm shocked by the number of people who consider a bouncer to be a babysitter, though. As is the case with ANY bouncer or swing, as long as you don't leave your child unattended they will be fine.

There are some improvements Fisher Price could make, however. I never knew the toys hanging down were supposed to be there so the baby could activate the music and bubbles. I thought they seemed to be more annoying than anything, because they rested on my son's legs. Also, since there are people out there that use this as a babysitter, regardless of warning, they should probably put padded sides on this and an over-the-shoulder harness.
