Bouncer seats are perhaps one of the greatest baby inventions! This seat is very aesthetically pleasing and relaxing. The lullabies are quite soothing and the vibration seems to have a calming effect on my daughter. I agree that the aquarium bar makes it hard to be face to face with your baby, but odds are good that if your baby's in this seat, you're trying to get something done in your home! And the point is to have her look at the calming sea creatures and bubbles, not you! We had stopped using this when my daughter began sitting up alone around 5mos. However, now that she is 11mos., we pulled it out of the closet in the midst of cleaning and she has rediscovered it, and enjoys it in a whole new way. Although we cannot leave her side when she is in it now because she can topple over as she tries to climb out, she does enjoy having some down time in it and will sit and relax for as long as 20 minutes. I highly recommend this bouncer seat (or another- they're really not all that different and none last for more than a few months- why spend a ridiculous amount of $$?).Customer Review: Bouncing Baby Boys!

I have 5 1/2 month old twin boys who just love these seats. They were born 6 weeks early and have been using the seats from the day they came home! At first, with the boys so tiny, I had to roll a towel around their heads to keep from awkward positioning. But that's to be expected. Once the boys hit 3 months, the seats doubled the excitement! That was when the kick and play feature came in. They were interested in the fish and bubbles and realized that when they kicked, they bounced. One of my boys is bouncing himself so hard in it that he's due to bounce right out of the seat. I can see our days in this seat coming to a quick end, as the waist belt is just about fitting them now. But it's been a great thing while it's lasted! It's also spared us many a meal! With screaming babies as we try to enjoy a quick supper, I found that bouncing them gently at our feet while we ate gave us just enough of the peace we needed.
As for the vibration feature, sometimes they like it, sometimes they don't. Take it or leave it. But definitely take the seat!

I bought this bouncer after my daughter was born. I had the kick and play bouncer for my son and loved it! I was looking to get something a bit more stimulating though and I saw the great reviews for this one so I bought it.
First of all this bouncer has toys that hang way too low off of it. The toys rested on my daughters legs and when she'd kick or move around in there the seams on the toys would scratch up her legs. Also the seat sits up way to far and so when my baby was a newborn she wasn't cradled in it and looked really uncomfortable. There are also no side supports so even though my baby is now 5 months old she's almost able to manuver her body over to the sides, so I have to supervise her at all times while she's in it to make sure she won't come out of the seat. Not so great if you want to do a few things around the house! The 3 point strap is also really crappy, and not very secure, so all in all I'd say for the price (which in my opinion is WAY TOO MUCH!) you can get a much better bouncer/rocker than this one!!

We received this bouncer as a shower gift, and since I didnt have a swing when my son was born, I used this alot in those first few weeks, just to have a place to put him so that he could get a different view besides laying down or being held! He also slept in it for QUITE some time, as he refused to sleep in his basinett! I didnt use the toy bar right away, but when I did start using it, he totally loved it, and learned quick that his lil kicky feet made his fishie friends swim! He still loves it now, at 5 montsh old! I havent found any major flaws with it myself... the little toys pull off easily... but they also go back on easily. The fabric on the seat isnt all that soft, I just put a soft blanket over it... Im sure it would soften after being washed, but with havign a blanket over it, I havent had to wash it! Its also a great place to feed him his cereal!
Unfortunately, since my son likes to sit up, and pulls himself up by pulling on the toys, I dont know how much longer we will be able to use this, but its great now!

My daughter was given this chair as a Christmas gift. We were already using the Kick-and-Play model, but decided to keep the Aquarium chair just in case. It's a nice enough chair, but compared to the kick-and-play, I hated it. First of all, I did not feel that the seat sling is deep enough for a large baby like mine. Secondly, the seat cover partially obscures the hole where the activity bar goes in, and the activity bar has fastener tabs that lock it in place, thus making it a pain to remove and/or insert the bar. With the kick-and-play chair, you could change the bar with one hand..no latches...just clicked in place or pulled out.
The music is also very soothing and "sleepy" which is great for nap time, but not for everyday activity use. The few times I put her in it (while washing the other chair cover) my daughter would fuss. I would not purchase this chair. If I had been given a gift receipt, I would have taken it back. It does not compare to the kick-and-play model. (Please see my full kick-and-play review also.)
