Customer Review: Great entertainment for baby but not without problems

We started putting our daughter in this almost as soon as she came home from the hospital. Of course, she didn't really notice the "aquarium" for the first month or so, but when she did she obviously really enjoyed watching it. She even got mad when the spinning star got stuck one day!
Unfortunately, the "soothing vibrate" feature stopped working on the tenth week of use, so we called FP according to the instructions on the unit. They only sent us a return shipping label; WE were expected to package the defective part and pay for it to be shipped back, with a promise of a replacement unit after four weeks. LAME! They should have at least sent a pre-paid package for the return, in my opinion.
Since our daughter really enjoys being in it, we decided to simply forego the vibration feature and live with a broken unit; I can't imagine her not being without it for over a month.
Pluses: entertaining for baby, easily cleaned
Minuses: quality, RMA policies, "bubbler" is quite loud, only two volume settings for music (loud and extra loud)

I started using this bouncer when my daughter was 3 weeks old and it was great at entertaining her while I did housework or what not. She never cared for the vibration function but loved watching the fish float around and kicking at the toys. I was never lucky enough to get her fall asleep in the seat like I have heard of other babies doing in their seats. Batteries did seem to last forever in this product and we used it at least 2-3 times a day. I expected to get more than 4 months of usage out of the product though.
I do however have one complaint which is why I am rating this product with 3 stars.
Once your baby begins trying to sit up (which was around 4 months for my daughter) stop using this product IMMEDIATELY. I watched as my daughter went to grab for the toys and she feel over the edge. Luckily I was right there but I could see how she could have been hurt very easily had I not been right there. Fisher Price should design the seat a little better to conform to babies body for constraint and maybe even raise the activity bar a little so baby can grab the toys.

I recived this bouncer as a baby shower gift. I placed my son in it when he was a few weeks old and he didn't like the vibration at first. I tried again when he was six weeks old and he had a change of heart about the vibration. I love this toy I could snap my son in it and watch him stare at the lights, fish and bulbles all the time since he hated to lay on his back and look at any toy. As he got older i used the baby activited swich after a while he got the hang of it and would turn on the different sounds him self. He could snap off the toys that hung on the sea horse and use them as his teething rings and because the toys aren't small or a choking hazard i didn't mind. The detachable toy bar is great too. I take it off and soooth him to sleep with the vibration and pull him out and put him in his crib. My Son loves this toy if we don't put him in it at least once a day he stares at it and everytime he sees it starts to lean toward it. The only draw back to this toy is that my son is five months and starting to sit up on his own and doesn't like to lean back in the chair any more.Customer Review: very disappointed

I am a mother of 4 month old twins. I registered for this bouncer and the Leap Frog bouncer so they could have a variety. I wish now I had two of the Leap Frog because whoever I put in this one always watches the other one play with the "good toys" on the Leap Frog. This bouncer is useless. It reclines so far that they can't reach the toys and they can't kick them either. The toys only go back and forth and the way they are attached doesn't allow you to use the plastic links to add any other toys. The strap is short, thin, stiff and digs into their legs. The crotch pad is too small. It takes two hands to get the toy bar off, which is not an easy thing when you have a baby in your arms. The fish on the toy bar don't do much and you can't even see the colors change on the top of it. It leans so far back that I can't feed them in it either. I wish I would have looked closer at it when I registered because there are many bouncers to choose from. I just picked it because the fish theme went with the nursery and I assumed the bouncers were all about the same. Boy, was I wrong.Customer Review: Kind of a weird bouncer...

There are some nice things about this bouncer, but it's also kind of weird.
It's a very comfy seat; the shape of the seat makes my twins fall asleep every time. The battery compartment has two separate areas for the vibrate vs. the activity bar, which is very nice and a feature I haven't seen in the other bouncers I have.
The weird part is the activity bar. It's got these VERY loud bubbles that sound a little bit like a machine gun. I find it annoying and my girls don't seem to be partiicularly interested in it. The toys hang a little low and out of reach, and the lights don't seem to entertain them, either. Finally, the vibrate button is flush with the rest of the plastic and very difficult to turn on or off with your foot (which a mom of twins often wants to do).
My daughter really likes to sleep in it, so it's not all bad...just has some areas I'd like to see improved. I'd like to combine the seat and battery compartment from this one with the activity bar and vibrate button on the rainforest bouncer and then you'd have a great bouncer.
