Customer Review: Battery Hog and Doesn't always turn off
Summary: 2 Stars

Overall, this monitor works, has good distance, etc. But it has a couple of real annoying issues. First it consumes batteries (3 AAA) as fast as my daughter consumes bottles. Generally about every 2-3 days it needs new batteries - and that's with having it plugged in most of the time. And because the battery cover is a screw, it's not easy to change. Secondly, the low battery monitor continues to go off even when the unit is turned off. So the only way to get it to stop is to remove the batteries.

I would look at another product instead.

Customer Review: Very clear!
Summary: 4 Stars

The unit is actually quite clear. I got it for my mother who broke her pelvis and has a hard time getting up and down. I can hear if she needs help. The only complaint I have with it is there is a constant clicking noise that makes it hard for me to sleep, but that might be due to the location it's plugged in at. I've got it plugged in with my PC and phone, but have moved the actual unit itself at least 5' away from them and it still does it. I'm not sure if it's the unit or the location I have it. It is very clear for the money though.

Customer Review: Long distance baby monitor
Summary: 4 Stars

I live in a NYC apartment and have two kids under the age of 2. I have tried the Sony and the Graco monitors. This Fisher Price long distance has been great - however my only complaint is that you need to turn the volume down a bit as it does give off background noise or a hum. But when my son cries I can hear him loud and clear. Other than that it works much much better than the Graco. My daughter is just in the next room and the Graco still starts beeping in the middle of the night for no reason! The Song is not a bad monitor either.

Customer Review: GREAT monitor for the price!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is the second monitor I've owned and by far the best. We had the Sony one for my first child, and the batteries wore down so fast that we were replacing them daily. Annoying b/c when the batteries get low, the thing squeals incessantly. The batteries have lasted in this monitor for a week and I couldn't be happier.
It really does work for long distances, I can work in the yard and still hear my baby.
In my opinion, this is a great monitor, I think I paid around $32. Good investment.

Customer Review: didn't work at all
Summary: 1 Stars

I bought this from Target yesterday. All I get is a flashing green light and beeping - LOUD beeping from the receiver that was so loud it woke up my son from the next room with the door closed. That's supposed to indicate that it's out of range, but like I said, I was in the next room. Everything was plugged in and set up correctly, and the channels matched. I can't get it to work from anywhere in the house. Maybe I just got a lemon, who knows? I hope that's the case.
