Customer Review: Comfortable Cradle for Baby to Nap

A friend suggested that I register for this. Initially I wasn't interested in this rocker because it is so unattractive. However, it's a very practical product. It not only vibrates, but it is also a rocker that can be used up through toddler age. We also own the Ocean Wonders Aquarium bouncer. I use it when my baby is awake. The Infant to Toddler Rocker is best for napping and relaxing. It has a kickstand so it reclines back further. It also cradles the baby and is much more comfortable. My baby is 2 months old and has been taking all of her daytime naps in it since she was 1 week old. We don't have to secure her in it yet with the belt so it's so easy to take her in and out of it. I also bought the Snuzzler infant support. It's a head and body support pillow that can be used in a car seat, stroller, swing or bouncy seat. It conforms to her body and keeps her head stable. It makes the seat even more womb-like & comfortable. This seat along with the Snuzzler are the best gifts I've received!Customer Review: The Best Purchase EVER

I recently bought this for our 7 week old daughter. I am going to work on occasion and needed something to put her in while I was there. I was hesitant on a swing she is not sure she likes those yet but loved the one bouncer we had but she really didnt fit in it yet. So I got this one because it was so versital and she can grow with it. She will sleep in it for hours and when she is awake she will just sit and entertains her self. She loves to look at the toys and the monkey plays a little tune. We use it all over the house and it goes in the car with us EVERYWHERE we go. It is light weight. A little ackward to carry around would be great if it was more portable. Of all the baby things we have gotten this has been our best purchase so far. It was really easy to put together and the seat comes off for easy cleaning. And the battery is still going strong. And it is on ALL the time. I thought that this was an awesome gift...and in the beginning it was. With the kickstand up, it gave my little girl a cozy small environment to lay in and nap.
However, when she started sitting on her own was when the problems began. I would put the kickstand back so she could sit up more (all babies love to sit up stick straight at that age). One day, she went to reach forward, and to my horror and shock, the entire seat went forward with her. Fortunately I was right there and put my leg out in front of her and caught her...if I had not been in the room, her face would have slammed into pergo flooring. Fisher Price reps claim that they have never heard of this problem, but from reading other feedback here, I see that many many children have either face planted or almost face planted into the floor. Fisher Price needs to either ammend the instructions and state that the kickstand needs to be used until the feet can touch the ground or just recall this chair entirely.

I love these chairs for their usefullness, but when my daughter turned 9mths or 22 pounds the chair became a hazard. My daughter was drinking her bottle and the chair was flexed back she tried scooting up, since she could no longer rock, and then the chair fell back, my child's bottle banged her in the lip causing her to have a bruise not to mention the trauma, thank God I had her strapped. Then I thought well, let's give it another try,but this time only as a rocker, since the other way was so dangerous. This 2nd time was worse. She was rocking back and forth playing with the toys it comes with and all of a sudden, she flew back. I was livid. I called Fischer Price and told them of what transpired. They offered to reimburse me for the product and paid for shipping to return it back to them. Plse be careful, never leave your child unattended with this chair, if you do have it and must use it, put it against a wall so it can not fall back.

We origanaly bought it for our newborn, but once I put it together my son (12 months) went hog wild!! He would actually sit still and recline in it; which was a first. He loves to sit and rock, our newborn girl is too small for it right now though. She is 10 pounds and can just now sit in it - kind of. (She almost 2 months old) I think that she will enjoy it as much as her brother when she's bigger. I wouldn't recommend skipping the bouncy seat and using this instead though. It's a little to big for a one month old. But over all it's a really cool rocker!
Katie - who is now 5 1/2 months old loves this rocker! It a save place for her to be able to sit and watch her brother play. There's only one problem, when I go to put her in it her brother (18 months) will slip in from the side and take her chair. I caught Eric dragging it into the livingroom so that he could watch a cartoon yesterday! - Katie wasn't in it at the time though. lol
