Customer Review: Flips backwards and forwards

I THOUGHT that this would be a good product for my almost 10 month old son considering this is called an "Infant to Toddler" rocker. I was wrong. I have caught my son flipping forward and he actually flipped it backwards and landed on his head because he was fascinated by the cute design on the top of the seat. I called Fisher Price and they told me that this was not made for infants learning to sit up and stand up. I told them that if my son or anyone else's child was to break their neck that they would have a multi-million dollar lawsuit on their hands. There is NO INDICATION on any of the material given that this is not suitable for infants between 6 months - 14 months. The rep at Fisher Price told me that I should not use this until child is able to walk and get in and out of chair on own where I wouldn't have to strap him into seat. Talk about HORRIBLE customer service and safety concern!!!!!! I will NEVER buy Fisher Price products again after being told I shouldn't strap my child into the product. I am very dissapointed and thankfully my son only suffered a bump on his head instead of a broken neck. This chair is a lifesaver!!!! It was purchased within days of coming home from the hospital so that I could function...hands free!! The best feature is that it allowed me to rock the baby/chair with one foot, so that I could pump, eat, clean, answer the phone, etc. without losing my mind!! This chair provides sanity!! Our daughter is 2 1/2 months and has never really played with the toy bar-- but she loves the vibrating chair! She has spent MANY hours in it (watching baby einstein videos---another great product!!) and we are only on the 3rd battery. When placed on hard-surfaced flooring, my daughter is able to gently rock the chair with her kicking motion. In my opinion, the only thing that could be improved on would be the design of the legs. It would be nice if they folded inward, so that the chair laid flat for ease of transport/storage. Don't get me wrong, it's light weight, just large. And please don't take that as a complaint. I had registered for another more expensive chair (this chair is about $10 less than most) and am now glad that I did not receive the one I originally thought I could not live without. Save your money and buy this chair. It's the Review: Love At First SiteSummary: 5 Stars My infant son can be VERY hard to please when it comes to laying in anything other than mommy's arms but I am sooooooo glad I came across this rocker! I first saw it as just the rocker at my friend's house. She said that her daughter at 3 STILL loves to sit in it and read and the children at her daycare use it constantly. Then a week later they at one at the hospital that my son was in for four days. I needed something to put him in in the bathroom while I took a shower and they brought me this. My son LOVED the little monkey on the toybar and didn't cry once sitting in this! My husband and I were sold instantly and bought him one as soon as he was released from the hospital. He loves to sit in it with his fleece blanket and teddy bear with the vibrating motion on, reclined fully back with the kickstand out, and watch the fan go around. :D I had bought another bouncer previously and he hated the thing as did I because it didn't recline and his neck would turn in awful angles. Now he is fully relaxed and comfy. I love that he can use this for many years to come so not only is it affordable but a real money saver as well!!!

I went to BabiesR'Us to buy the baby papasan for our baby due in a couple days,even though the reviews said it won't be able to be used after a few months because it's not big enough. I just liked the way it reclined fully for a newborn and it's cute. Then I saw it had the same problem my last bouncer had, she would be kicking the battery compartment from day one. It didn't bother my daughter too much but it was painful to watch. Also my husband said our 18 month old would break it the first time we put it on the livingroom floor. So we looked at weight limits and I was pleased to see a chair that could be used for more that a few months. Also the dark colors will help hide the baby food splatters when I introduce solids. I reclined it fully and it was just as flat as the papasan if not more. I was sold and then the price was great, they even had a store coupon for another $5 off. I put it together without swearing or screaming for my hubby, so it was really easy. Then our toddler gave it a try and it's still in one piece so it's durable. The only problem may be that I'll need two if our girls can't share nice.Customer Review: EXTREMELY DANGEROUS-DON'T BE FOOLED!!!!

I bought these chairs for my twins when they were 8 months and outgrew their FP Kick and Play bouncers, which we absolutely loved. One wasn't in the chair 20 minutes when he tipped it over. Luckily he was on carpeting and only got a slight rug burn around his eye but a huge scare for both of us. The manual shows a baby his age and size in it as a rocker, but when I called FP I was told it shouldn't be used as a rocker (which is not mentioned anywhere in the manual) until their feet can touch the floor. When told that they didn't say that and depicted a much smaller child in the chair as a rocker, the response was something like "Oh, that's not good". Yes it says use with adult supervision, but what doesn't? He sat forward in his bouncer many times without tipping it. What good is a chair that requires you to be within arms reach of your child at all times? This got 1 star because it wouldn't take my review without any. I wish I had seen the other reviews before purchasing this...it never would have left the store. How many babies have to fall before it is made safe for them?
