Baby Products Reviews of Fisher-Price Learning Patterns RockerCustomer Review: Very solid Summary: 5 StarsWe picked this one due to the option for the child to grow with it. Little did I know that I would appreciate the sturdy base more than anything. We have been visiting at other houses and people have pulled out their bouncy seat - the flimsy ones with a wire base. I feel so much better being able to place my daughter in this chair and having the option of the kick stand. Burns through batteries pretty quick but for the hours she has napped in this chair - it has been worth it.
Customer Review: Love It Summary: 5 StarsFor anyone that thinks this is unsafe they obviously aren't very smart. If your child can flip this over flip the bar forward so it cannot rock. It is your own fault if they flip over.
My son loves this seat. He is now 5 months old and has been using this seat since about 1 month old. He even likes to take naps in it. We call it the Magic Blue Seat.
Customer Review: Used during a cold Summary: 5 StarsI had this rocker since my daughter was around 4 months old (she is 21 months now). Once she learned to walk she was not so interested anymore, except recently when she would sit down in it to look through a book.
However, she just recovered from a nasty cold that kept her up for a few nights. The only way she could get comfortable enough and breath while sleeping was by using the rocker. So, for a few nights that was her bed. Now I consider it an indispensible piece of baby equipment. Definitely worth the money!
Customer Review: Way better than a bouncer:) Summary: 4 StarsI recieved this rocker and a bouncer for my baby's shower. He is such a curious little kid that by month 2 he was trying to sit up and the bouncer was too reclined for him. This is the best chair because it is sturdy,(I can throw him in it when its time to make lunch)and it sits him up straight enough that he doesnt think that Im trying to lay him down. When I babysit my 3 year old sister, she cant wait for him to take his naps so she can curl up in it too. All in all a great buy, and useful for years to come.
Customer Review: Rocker is Unsafe Summary: 1 StarsWe just purchased this rocker today because our Fisher Price Kick & Play Bouncer (which we loved) is now too small for our 23-1/2 lb. 9-month old son. He sits on his own and is learning to crawl, but we still like to use a bouncy seat for his cat naps and to hang out in when he gets tired of playing on the floor.
We assembled the rocker and within a few hours of trying it out, our son rocked right over head first. Luckily my husband was right there within reach when it happened or he would've landed right on his head.
This product should be recalled. I can't believe with all of the negative comments just like mine that Fisher Price hasn't taken it off the market. It's probably fine for 0-4 months and then MAYBE after a toddler can easily maneuver and decide where he/she wants to sit (maybe 2 years???) It's definitely not safe once a baby can sit up unsupported. Obviously all children purposely drop and throw their toys and then want to pick them back up again. Hello -- it's a game to them! This rocker is a really bad idea if your child is at that stage as well.
We're calling Fisher Price tomorrow. I would highly suggest you purchase a different bouncy seat and steer clear of this rocker!
