Fisher-Price Learning Patterns Rocker by Fisher-Price
Product SummaryManufacturer: Fisher-Price Model: 108046
Description of Fisher-Price Learning Patterns RockerThe only thing a parent values more than an item that makes kids happy is an item that?s going to keep them happy for a long time. Fortunately, some items are up to that daunting challenge: LEGOs, Harry Potter, and this very cool rocker that?s designed to grow with kids from infants all the way up to 40 pound toddlers. For infants, it reclines, features a toy bar of dangly stuffed friends, and it vibrates. Like a good long car trip, a vibrating seat is bound to calm baby and possibly send him off to dreamland. As baby grows, the toy bar can be removed and the toys clipped on to the side. And as baby turns into kid, the backrest can be raised making the chair more of a regular rocker. We loved the versatility of this chair as well as the festive blue pattern. --John Moe
Baby Products Reviews of Fisher-Price Learning Patterns RockerCustomer Review: I love this chair. It's my FAVORITE baby item! Summary: 5 Stars
This chair is great!! If I had to choose only one baby item to have, this would be it. I have used it from the time my son was a newborn, and he still loves it at 9 months. For younger infants, the bar on the bottom that allows you to prop up the rocker like a bassinet is a wonderful feature. It's great because the rocker can be used like a bassinet to sleep in, but is also very portable. We used to take it with us to friends' houses so the baby could go to sleep when he was younger. My son used to take his naps in here everyday. The vibration thing is nice too. Sometimes it was the only way to get him to sleep. You can easily rock it with your foot also, while doing other things with your hands, like typing or eating, which is a real timesaver. Many times I would be rocking my son to sleep with my foot, while surfing the net and eating lunch at my desk - truly multitasking! I can't imagine how my husband and I could have gotten through dinner if we weren't able to rock the baby in this thing. My son loves the bar too and the toys hanging from it. Because the toys are held on with velcro at the top, you can replace/rotate them with any other 'hangable' toy. This is good because the kid doesn't get bored with the same old toys. Now that my son is learning to drink out of a sippy-cup this chair is the perfect angle for him to hold his own bottle/cup - reclined just enough to make drinking on his own easier. I thought the little bear picture at the head of the rocker was kind of cheesey, but my son seems to love it - often turning around to look at it while in the chair. The baby doesn't grow out of this chair either. My son is already too big for any bouncer, but the rocker holds him fine. One of his favorite things now is to sit in the rocker facing a wall, and rock himself by pushing his feet on the wall. He loves being able to rock himself and lets out that sweet baby chuckle. Just recently he's started to use it to sort of climb off and on, which is good practice for crawling/walking. This is the first review I've ever written for a product - it's that good! For all the use we've gotten out of it so far, this thing is dirt cheap - less than $30! I swear I'd take it over the expensive electric swing any day. I just hope my son hasn't worn it out by the time the next baby comes along (though it seems to be holding up so far)...
